Question about Insignia NS-DV2G MP3 Player
On the side by the HOLD switch there is a small hole in the housing. Use a pin or a paper-clip to press into that hole until you feel a small click (but not too hard). This is the reset button.
If the unit does not behave after the reset you can try removing the back plate and take out the battery for a few seconds, replace and power up again.

Take off the back plate. Take out the battery. Put it all back together.
