The software that comes with this to load music is clumsy and nearly useless. Are there any other music utilities that are compatible with this player that are more user friendly? Any thoughts or advice would be welcome.

All songs must be in MP3 or WMA format in order for the player to load any of the songs to play. If songs are in any other format (MP4, ACC) they must be converted to MP3 in order to work. Instructions are on the Intova website how to convert music to MP3 if needed. If the songs that are loaded onto the player are in MP3 format when you press the play button you should see a yellow indicator light meaning the music is playing. If this light does not come on there may be an issue with the player. If this light does come on but you still cant hear any sound then the headphone wires may be damaged. If there is an issue with the player or headphones manufacturer Intova will be happy to help get you back in the water. Please contact Intova at email@example.com for further assistance. Thank you.

Unlike iPods, you do not need special software to load music onto the RCA TH1602. Once it is plugged into a computer, it will show up as a drive letter and you can simply compy music folders over to it.
You have to load the installation software BEFORE you plug the Go Gear into the computer, or else Windows will try to load its own useless drivers first. If you have lost the installation CD, you can get the installation software from Philips website.
Use your computer to download and copy the files to the player.. Ya should have software that came with the player install that on the PC, and it should have a utility to put the files on ya player once they have been either "Ripped" from a CD/DVD or DLed from 'net then ya put 'em on ya player..
well I don`t know much about mp3 players...but i do know that it is sort of tough to find answers. To load a type of file, Example: music, you click music on the media manager software prgra, and then you click on the button that says add folder. go into your documents to find the music that you want to put on the device. left click on the mouse to drag up the songs you want and click OPEN. make sure your player is in and then hit download. your multi media player will have more media.
the software it only to tranfer and converted media into the portable device. to tranfer just click on add media then select the video that will be tranfer automatic. to load music onto the mp3 there are two ways using mediaplayer 10 or media player 11 will just work fine. another way it by selecting start then select my computer then u will see the portable device conected click on the device u will see files just ass photo, videos, music drop a drag the files onto music. hope this solve ur problem enjoy.
