Hi there,

Kindle was designed without a backlight. The only way to read at night is to buy a book light designed for Kindle.

Hope this helps!

The book light doesn't really need to be designed for the kindle, it just has to fit onto the Kindle just like any other book

Does Kindle have back Light? If so How do I turn it on?

new Kindle doesn't have a backlight because that would defeat the whole purpose of being able to go an entire month on a single charge.

But there are plenty of little lights you can buy for the Kindle, some built right into covers for the Kindle, others that clip onto the Kindle.
