Question about Televison & Video

TV Problem When I turn on my tv at first the screen goes blue and then I see horizontal lines across the screen but the lines are curved in on the outside. After 10 seconds of seeing this on the screen it shuts off and the light for the "ON Timer" is blinking green. I tried to use my remote to turn off and on the TV but the remote wouldn't correspond with the TV. Also the power switch on the front of the TV doesn't work either. In order to turn the TV off I have to unplug the cord from the outlet. This process happens over and over again. Is there anyway you can help me with this problem? Thank you for your time, Artur Zawada

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Older big screen hitachi w/pip tube tv and has blue lines across the screen turn off on it own sometimes.

It could be time to retire the TV.
The blue almost horizontal lines are probably a fault in the flyback blanking and the fact that it will turn itself off is likely due to a poor solder joint on a circuit board inside.

Blue lines on screen

Go to a unused video input and examine the screen----if you see blue with slightly curved trace lines the blue screen control for the set is set just a bit too high.

Letters and numbers are 3d and curved picture

Hello

red, green, and blue lines curve across the top of tv is cause by defective convergence STK IC or you have open resistor at convergence section. if you have defective RGB Color vertical ramp probably you have defective STK IC..

Green horizontal lines across screen

try adjusting the green screen control. remove the front bottom panel of the tv by removing any screws holding it in place. gently pull of the front panel, there are gromets holding it in place, you will be able to gently remove the front, just make sure you get all those screws. now reove the small wodden or plastioc panel. now you will see the screen/focus assy. check to see of the screen controls are the top 3 or bottom 3. adjusted the center screen it's the green one, the other 2 are the red & blue. it is best to adjust in a dark room where the lines will show up easier. good luck
