The treadmill shuts off when I start walking/running.
I turn off, unplug and it does not come back on. I have to let it set for a little while and then plug in and reset.
I turned it on and let it run for 30 minutes (no one walking on it) and it did not turn off.
I tried it another night and it shut off as soon as I started walking on the belt.
I have moved the safety key around and it does not seem to do better or worse.
Could it be the switch? Safety Key? Board?

1) i recommend that you lube very well deck belt + rollers bearing
2) see the videos.
3) see the block
4) Try to RUN the software calibration, for troubleshooting.
5) measure the input voltage motor, if there are the motor need repair. 6) Measure the output voltage board, for input voltage board, if there are NOT, the board is faulty.
Thank you by your request. I hope everything is o.k

You have electrical-mechanical Problem:
If you can walk on your treadmill but it shuts down during a workout, it is normally caused by a friction problem with the belt and deck. Here are the most common symptoms and solutions: Symptom: The treadmill operates for a given period of time and the circuit breaker on the treadmill trips causing you to have to reset the breaker, or let it cool off then reset the breaker. The amount of time required to shut down will progressively get shorter. Solution: The walking belt is worn. The incline test is the best test for it if you don't have a way to take a DC amp draw. Put the treadmill at full incline and walk normally. If it takes it longer to shut off or does not shut off at all, you need to replace the walking belt. Be sure to inspect the deck for wear too. If you want to go for a cheap fix try lubricating the walking belt. The best fix is to replace the walking belt and then regularly maintain it and keep the treadmill clean.
Symptom:The treadmill will show power but after a given period of time, the treadmill will simply shut down. Once you let it cool off, you can restart it back up but it shuts down faster and the time required before it shuts down gets progressively shorter. Solution: Your treadmill is most likely equipped with a heat sensor which shuts down the motor and/or electronics to prevent them from burning up. If this is the case, replace the walking belt. Be sure to inspect the deck for wear too. If you want to go for a cheap fix (that we don't recommend) try lubricating the walking belt. The best fix is to replace the walking belt and then regularly maintain it and keep the treadmill clean.
Symptom: The treadmill shuts down in an intermittent pattern...there is no rhyme or reason to when it will shut down. I get an error code or nothing shows up on the panel. I have to either unplug the treadmill or reset it to restart the treadmill. Solution: If you get an error code, contact us with the code and make and model and we will try to help you figure out what is going on. Typically we either find a loose wire, an intermittent short, a bad power board, or a bad control panel in service calls that we do locally. Unplug your treadmill and then check all your wiring to make sure nothing is pinched, crimped or loose. Remove and replace each connector in case corrosion is causing the problem. If the problem persists, you most likely have a bad control panel or some call it a console.
I hope your are very well in union with your family.
I will help you inmediatel.

From the manual: Troubleshooting
Symptom: The walking belt slows when walked on
a. If an extension cord is needed, use only a 14-gauge general purpose cord of five feet or less in length.
b. If the walking belt is over-tightened, the treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may be permanently damaged. Remove the safety key and UNPLUG the power cord. Using the 3/16" allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise. 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3-4 inches off the walking platform. The center of the walking belt should just touch the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert safety key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
c. If problem persists, contact customer service.
If the walking belt has shifted to the left, first remove the key
and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench,
turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt clockwise, and the right
bolt counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to overtighten
the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key
and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking
belt is centered.
If the walking belt has shifted to the right, first remove the
key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench,
turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt counterclockwise, and the
right bolt clockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to overtighten
the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key
and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking
belt is centered.
Unplug unit then remove motor shroud the walk on the belt normally and try to stall the belt to make it slip. Be careful during this test. If the problem is in the drive belt, either the drive belt will stop when stalled or the front roller will stop when stalled.
Find the set bolt(s) on the motor. This is typically run through only one side of the motor mount or may be on both sides but it does not run the full length of the mounting..
Look for a bolt that will tension the motor. If it has this bolt, it typically runs in the same direction parallel with the drive and walking belts. If your treadmill is not equipped with a bolt as described above, the drive belt must be tensioned by hand. While one person applied increased tension to the drive belt, the other person should tighten the motor set bolt(s) that are described in Step If your treadmill is equipped with this bolt (very few are) the repair will only require one person.
If the motor, drive belt, and front roller continue to turn when the walking belt is stalled, the problem is with the walking belt slipping on the front roller.
If the walking belt slips when walked on. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
Have you lubricated the the running deck? The lack of lubrication can increase friction thus causing the current limiting curcuit to activate thus shutting down the unit to prevent further damage, Go to your local hard ware store and purchase silicone spray. Apply Lubricant by lift one side of the running belt spray contents length wise starting at motor shroud to the back end repeat this process on the other side. If this unit shut down again then you will have replace the running belt and possibly the deck
f the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.Using the hex key, turn both idler roller bolts clockwise,1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off
the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
The deck needs to be lubricated. The lubricant can be purchase @ gympart.com. LUBRICATION PROCEDURE: 1. Turn off and unplug treadmill. 2. Cut off the end of the tube of lubricant. 3. Holding the tube in one hand, insert the tube underneath the treadbelt halfway between front and back and halfway between right and left. 4. Squeeze the full contents of the tube onto the deck in a circular pattern in the center 1/3 of the deck. 5. Plug in and turn on treadmill, then walk normally on treadmill at 0.5 mph for five minutes
