Question about Brother MFC 7840W Printer
For this particular model, when you get a Drum Error, it can be that the corona wire needs cleaned or that the Drum unit is almost empty.
To clean the corona wire do the following:
Step 1. Turn off your printer and diconnect all cables, including the power cable.
Step 2. Open the front cover of your printer and remove the Drum. (Drums have ink in them so be careful how you handle them or you will have ink all over the place.)
Step 3. Slide the green tab from left to right about 6-10 times.
Step 4. Return the green tab to the start position indicated by a small arrow.
Step 5. Put the Drum back into the printer, connect all cables, and turn back on.
