Flatout activation problem

In the search bar type dxdiag and see if it finds that program if it does, run it. That will tell you what version of direct x that you have. This might also be an issue with the graphics card driver that you are using. Check for updates to that driver.

Shader Model may be part of the video card. Hence, it does not support the game.

No there is no other way... because you're computer didn't meet the minimum requirements for that game so you need to buy a good graphic card that supports shader model 3.0 besides most of new graphic cards supports shader model 3.0.

All latest PC games requires shader model 3 graphics card. Actually juiced 2 is a high graphic oriented game requiring shader model 3. So, you must upgrade the video memory by adding a latest graphics card with shader model 3.Graphic card like,
Nvidia 6600 and higher has shader model 3.0 ATI x1xxx or higher has shader model 3.0 some X800 were also shader model 3.0.
Before you buy any new graphic card you need to discover which card your motherboard supports.

I install Burnout paradise the ultimate box and got an error when try to play the game...
this machine gpu does not support shader model3 which is required to run this game.
I have Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family, Integrated Graphic
Intel Processor Dual CPU e2200 @2.2GHz
Memory 1.99GB

What can i do to play this game

1- what is the game?
2-is there a game that supports shader model 2.0 that worked befor on your card?
3-do you have the latest drivers
4-did you install the latest direct X

Nvidia 6600 came out at 2004 and it supports DirectX 9.0C (Shader 3 came with 9.0C)
ATI Radeon 9200 came out at 2003 and only support DirectX 8.1 (which support shader 1.2 - 1.4)

Nope, Radeon 9200 will not support Shader 3 (neither will it support 2.0).

Unfortunately it isn't something you can download and install from the internet.. The shader is calculating rendering effects in the graphic card.. The problem is it that your graphic card doesn't support/have shader 2.0.. You will need to replace your graphic card with a newer to get it..

Pixel Shader is a hardware capability. It must be supported by the graphics card. Sounds like your graphics card will not work with the game you purchased. To answer your question directly, you will need to install a graphics card that supports Pixel Shaders to be able to run games which need it.
