Question about Sony KP-46WT520 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have a Sony Wega KP-46WT520. Recently the tv has taken longer to display a picture once the power button is pressed and today it won't display a picture or sound. I have done some interenet research and found that I should count the number of blinks from the standby button. I have counted 9 blinks with a short pause 9 blinks and then a long pause follow by 9 more blinks. Does any one know what this means and what I need to do to fix it? Thanks for the help in advance.
9 times standby red light blinks in Sony KP-43WT520 shows problem of "Zero Crossing Detector", its technical term taken from service manual.
Solution is to replace diodes D6116 and/or D6301 on G Board (power supply board) as above said diodes get open/ defective and causing that problem.
It is recommended to have qualified tv repairman to fix tv if you have no experience of working in tv circuit boards.
Hope these info will help you.
