Question about Casio Cassiopeia E-100 Pocket PC

Open Question

I cannot get the screen to respond to my stylus taps

Hi,

I would be really glad if somebody can help me out here. Lately, every time I've switched on my E-100 PDA, I get an error message saying "Tap the centre of the target with the sylus. Repeat as the target moves around the screen." Yet when I tap the stylus across the screen, nothing happens. I've been tearing my hair out trying to find somewhere in my town that fixes PDAs, and a couple that I've been to have been no help to me at all. One of them told me that it sounds like a software problem but I'm not so sure.

SOURCE: Casio E-15 and Linksys WCF11

Well - if your PDA runs CE 2.11, it should install. Try downloading specific CAB file from Linksys's website for the MIPS processor (E-15 uses VR4111). If you have Linksys WCF11 card, go to http://linksys.com/support/support.asp?spid=71 If setup still doesn't work - copy a MIPS CAB file to your Casio via ActiveSync and run it from there. However, even after you install it - you might face problems. I still wasn't able to run my Linksys WCF11 on Casio E-100. Apparently, there is no easy way to specify IP settings (gateway, WINS, DNS) in Windows CE 2.11 for Linksys (unlike PocketPC OS, where we have network settings in control panel). I tried playing with registry - however, it messes up big time.

I believe that the right card for your pda is the D-Link. They have the appropriate drivers for WinCE 2.11 , but check Linksys' website for more info. You might have the wrong setup disk.

Touchflo of HTC Touch 3G won't launch

Hi. TouchFlo is the special today plugin for the HTC devices, and as you realized, you can still use all functions of your PDA without. I think there is an error in the installation of TouchFlo (There can be a bunch of reasons, we have to know everything you did with your PDA in order to guess them), but there is a safe solution for that problem, you can backup all your personal data and software to your PC, then you can hard reset your PDA to its factory default settings. That way both your phone and the TouchFlo will work. In order to hard reset your PDA (after the backup of your personal data), you can follow the steps in this link: (http://www.hardreset.eu/htc_touch_diamond_hard_reset_soft_reset_en.html). Hope this helps.

Inbox problems?

Hi

Did you try to soft reset the PDA/Phone This will not cause the data to be lost.

Also try and send yourself a txt message and see if it resets the current status of the messages.

Let me know if i can help.

Pocket loox t830

I had this problem. Only solution is a full Hard Reset which is a combination of Power Switch Photo Switch and Reset Switch. BUT you will loose everything on the PDA.

My E-125 isn't working properly...

If your craddle has DC power input that charges the PDA while in craddle, try setting the power configuration so that when the PDA is on external power, there is no blank screen timeout, and no automatic shutdown (it's in the Settings menu). This way, it won't power down while in craddle, and you won't get this problem you're having.
