The inks that came with it works fine. Its the continuous ink flow system that gives the problem.

  • Raphael Josiah May 10, 2010

Remember this is with a continuous ink system

If you didnt notice, this is an epson not HP. I have done quite a few of the head cleaning. The ink prints fine with regular cartridges

Hi! In HP you may need to run maintenance / head cleaning first before the continuous ink flow system goes thru the cartridges. This may not work on first head cleaning, it may take several times but once the ink reached the head you'll be good. This will require a little patience. Hope this helps and have a good one!

The ink flow system has breather on top right? The little hole which is the breather may be clogged thats why theres no ink coming out. Try clearing the breather and it may resolve it.

The old cartridge might have a damaged nozzle, or something might have caused a damage to the PCB present in the cartridge....
Did you refill the cartridge...??? if so how many times...???

Blank ink doesn't print, just get blank page

Does it go through the motions of printing and nothing happens?? Sometimes if you have not used it in a while the head can become partially blocked. To remove the head simply take out the cartridges and lift the leaver to the right of the holder. the head will come out, then follow the instructions in this link: (right click and select open in new tab) http://www.fixya.com/support/r3986425-unblock_print_heads
Also if you have just installed a new set of cartridges, make sure any stickers that are supposed to be removed have been. these stickers usually cover a air hole that must be open to allow the ink to flow.
Hope this helps, if so please rate this answer below Thank You for supporting the FixYa Community

Take the plastic strip off the ink jet cartridge before putting the thing in the printer.  Check the ink jets to see if they are clogged.

Error message on HP 2800 business inkjet, message reads 1% ink left on brand new cartridge

Hello,

View the user manual here. http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00449611/c00449611.pdf

go to page 60 and follow the instructions for replacing the ink cartridge, remember to have the printer on when you do.

Then go to page 62 and allign the print head automaticly following the instructions it gives.

This will re-callibrate the ink level on the printer and should read correctly for you.

Thanks

Prints a blank page only

First try to clean the cart with following procedures if this did not work then heat walls of the cart with hair dryer for 3 to 5 min then insert the cartridges and try to print :
# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Please help me, my epson inkjet all in one printing just blank blank blank

Epson printers will not accept continuous ink cartridges. That is why you are getting blank pages. I recommend just buying the ink cartridge as you need them.

Good Luck

Hi !!

Try this ---

take out the ink cartridges from printer
Take a tissue paper and make it damp with water
Then CLean the bottom part of cartridge where you see some golden contacts , just wipe it off with damp tissue .

Check if there is any ink coming on the tissue or not .
If No ink coming out , may be u forgot to pull out the protective tape or there is no ink inside the cartridge

Let me know what happens

Printer message is 'remove and check cartridge'. have done that and put in new cartridges but message stays. can print a test page but it will not print anything else

I assume something has happened during a print job and you are seeing this message on the 6110's control panel display. Either there's a "clog" in the flow of ink or an issue with the electrical contacts between the cartridge and the print carriage. Unfortunately, HP.com doesn't list this error message on the web page for 6110 errors.

You can go to the following web page and follow the instructions to clean the electrical contacts I mentioned. The problem you are seeing can also be caused by an incorrectly installed ink cartridge or one where the protective tape strip was not removed before installation.

The latter is likely if you see this error message right after you've put in a new ink cartridge. It's easy to put the cartridge in incorrectly or not to correctly latch it in place. It's also really common to forget to take the tape off before installing the cartridge.

Good luck and post back your results.
