Question about Nautilus Sport 5.18 LC Treadmill - Huge Savings & Free Silver Service Deliv
Nautilus has sent new wiring for the display panel, new wiring from the display panel to the control board, a new power cord and a new control board and yet it still dies within 5 minutes. With all the back and forth with Nuatilus it has already been out of commision for 2 1/2 months. They seem to be just guessing. They even sent a new motor; however, it did not fit my machine. Any suggestions?
I found this posting on Amazon and it sounds very similar:
The internal circuit breaker would flip and the power would cut out.
The retail store sent out a repair guy and determined the transformer was overheating. They ordered a new controller board from Nautilus. Three weeks later the part finally arrived and the service guy installed it. After running on it for 5 minutes the same problem happened.
Hello. I'm actually the guy who posted the bad review on Amazon.com for this product.
Here's an update: The repair guy said over-lubrication MIGHT have been the problem. Since I had bought the machine I was lubricating per the schedule in the manual. The repair guy said that was too much and to only lubrciate every 200 miles or so.
After replacing the controller board AND the internal circuit breaker on the machine it worked OK... for another 5 months. Just tonight I was running on it and it shut down on me. Its the same symptom as before. The motor itself does not appear to be overheating (its cool to the touch). The controller board, however, is extremely hot right after it shuts down.
I called the retail store and they are going to call Nautilus to see what they should do. I do NOT recommend this model or even this manufacturer.
If anyone finds out the solution to this problem PLEASE post here.

Tips for a great answer:
A Whirlpool Duet dryer has a latch on the interior frame of the door. It essentially locks the door closed when the dryer is operating to keep you from opening the door and becoming injured by the tumbling drum. The dryer can only run when the latch is secured. If the latch breaks, a dryer might start but shut off prematurely. Open the door and press the latch down with your finger. It should make a ticking sound when you release it. Replace it if it doesn't.
A dryer's power cord delivers electricity from the electrical outlet to the machine. If the power cord isn't firmly plugged into the outlet, it can interfere with the electricity transfer. While your Whirlpool Duet dryer might start, it probably will shut off soon afterward if the cord is wobbly. Also, if cords wires are visible through the rubber encasing, the cord might be defective. Though the dryer turns on, a faulty power cord might not be able to sustain the dryer's long-term operation.
The Whirlpool Duet dryer's control panel operates with the support of multiple wires that link to various dryer components. After you choose a drying setting and turn on your dryer, the control panel begins running elements of the dryer. If one of the wires fails, it can disrupt the performance of your dryer. Contact a dryer repair specialist if you suspect that the control panel might have short circuited. If your dryer is still under warranty, rather than replace the corrupt wire, he might recommend replacing the entire panel.

Hello iamtubin2 - Try resetting the unit at the household circuit breaker and confirm that there is power to the unit. If there is power and unit will not start you could possibly have a defective control board, cord or wiring. Do you notice any error codes displayed on the control panel or lights blinking? If so, if panel displays "DR", either the door is not closing properly or it may have a defective door lock switch. However, if panel displays "DDO" the drawer is not closing, magnet may be missing or have a defective reed switch. Typically this is not a do it yourself job and it is something that you want a certified professional to install/repair for you due to safety and liability reasons.
