HP laserjet 1300 gives 7 rolls ghost ink spreading
This printer was quite good in quality. However, after changeing computer, the printer gives ghost rolls-dark mess in every A4 page. The port was found in port of Dot, not in corresponding to USB port.
Re: HP laserjet 1300 gives 7 rolls ghost ink spreading
BLACK ALL OVER PAGE COULD BE THREE REASONS
1) LASER SCANNER COULD BE SHOT
2) IMAGE TRANS FER ROLLER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
3)EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT HAVE A NEW TONER ....DO NOT TRUST IT BEING GOOD !
TRY ANOTHER OR AN OLD ONE THAT WORKED BEFORE YOU CHANGED IT.

one possible cause would be the nozzle of your cartridge maybe their is already a clog that blocks the continuous flow of your ink, try to clean the head by using the maintenance software. Go to control panel>printers>properties>printing preference>locate the maintenance then try to access the cleaning of your cartridge, I'm not sure which location of the cleaning of head better to check all the menus.
Hope it helps thanks.
This is a laser printer and does not have a print head to be cleaned. Fortunately it does have a laser cartridge that can easily be replaced and solve all of your problems : ) The replacement cartridge is a HP Q2613A or the high capacity HP Q2613X. Your local Cartridge World should have a high quality refilled cartridge that will treat you very well and save you money.
Based on the steps you've already taken, it sounds like you need to replace the fuser unit. The fuser is what melts the toner to the paper and over time it wears out. Some service techs call it "ghosting", when it seems like it reprints a image. Check your local repair companies and tell them you need to replace the fuser, the part number is RG9-1493-000CN. This part isn't something that can be easily changed out, it involves removing the top scanner and other components. Let me know if there is anything else you need.
The cartridge could be bad. Just saw same issue earlier on another HP doing the same. Inspected the fuser and it had a place it the middle that the teflon coating was worn off. Try cartridge first, then look at the fuser with flashlight. Do not stick anything into the fuser. Make sure machine is powered down, unplugged and allow it to cool down before attempting to touch area. It will burn you, they get hot!
You could be set in draft mode in your printers properties, or, you could be using ECONO Mode.
Sometimes People use PCL Fonts for their printers, and other use PS Fonts. PCL is the typical font type. PS is post script, which Adobe type fonts are used. If you are set to PS Fonts using MS Word, you might try PCL Font types instead.
