Most ovens element are pretty easy to remove. Now if you didn't and just pushed them up you may have just disconnected the power. Make SURE!! you 220volts are off before you attempt to work on any power. If control is off you should be ok to work on elements.

The problem is this " master" hasen't a clue. The self cleaner gets so hot that it can burn out the reset switch in the back of the unit. It can also burn out the fuse in the back of the unit. This unit is poorly designed as the last two times i have used the self cleaner it has burned out the reset switch.

The best way for you to check is to swap with other element since they use the same one. FRIST turn the breaker off! Then take out the 2 screws on the element. The wires unplug, make sure they don't go back in the holes or the oven may have to come out to find them. You can pull the element out and take it to a parts house to see if they can check it with a ohm meter for you if you don't want to pull both of them out.

Broiler will not work on a whirlpool range rf367lxsyo

the broil element
is the heating element that is found at the top of the oven and produces a very high heat for broiling. If the broil element isn't working, you should first do a visual inspection for signs that the element has blistered or separated. If the element appears normal then you can check for continuity with a multi-meter. Remove power from the appliance before performing this test. Remove the back panel and locate the terminals for the broil element and inspect the terminals and wires for signs of overheating or damage.

If there is no continuity then the element will need to be replaced. If the wires are damaged then they will need to be repaired. If the element is ok then you will need to check the broil circuit to determine the cause. This involves live voltage checks and should only be performed by qualified persons. Components to check include fuses, if the range is equipped, and oven control thermostat or electronic control.

Will the oven work without the broiler attached

You could use the oven without the broiler. It is customary that the oven will use the broil element to even out the heat in the oven for better baking but you could use if. it just may not bake evenly. There could be two things that is causing the broil element to stay energized. the control is not shutting down or there is a short to ground in the broil element. Have the broil element tested, it could just need replacing. If it is in the control that is a bigger problem.

Broiler element doesn't work

Reseating the Element The broiler is heated using an electric element which should be clipped in to the top of the broiler enclosure. If this has come loose then it might not be making contact with the necessary terminals. Try to reseat the terminal but before doing so you must ensure that the electricity is turned off.
Testing the Element The element is what heats up and cooks the food in the broiler. Over time the heat can damage the broiler element. These elements are supported by stand-offs and if the element burns out or becomes damaged then this can be a common reason why the broiler isn't working.
The easiest way to test whether this is working is to turn the broiler on and look at the element. If it is working correctly then the element should be glowing red.
Another slightly more complicated test for the broiler element is to remove the element from the oven and disconnect it. Then use a multimeter to check the continuity of the element. Set the multi-meter to measure resistance and then put it either side of the element. The normal measurement should be between 20 and 40 ohms. If the element is infinitely resistant then this means it's broken and will need to be replaced.
Testing Oven Controls Another reason why the broiler will fail to work is because of problems with the oven controls. A thermostat is used to set the temperature of the broiler, and the oven selector controls are used to control the setting of the broiler.
Turn the oven controls on to see whether the broiler is working properly. If not the controls can be removed and tested using a multimeter. Check the outputs to ensure that the controls are working correctly.
These can also be replaced if required by fitting a replacement part designed specifically for your oven.

Broiler wont light everything else works..model ffgf3023lwa

Hi Chris Stewart - If the bake element and the top of the range works, but just not the heating element, then you possibly have a bad broiler element or connection. However, if you are experiencing other performance difficulties, then the control board may possibly be faulty and needs replacing. Consult a professional for an accurate diagnosis.

Broiler element and oven element not working. oven has power to it, all lights and displays are working,

Since neither the broiler or bake elements are working I would suspect either the sensor - sensing a higher temperature than set meaning the sensor is defective (Item #29 on the diagram) - http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Whirlpool-Parts/Wall-oven-Parts/Model-YRBS305PDB5/1198/0125300/W0703198/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

You might try the self clean function and see if the elements get hot. If they do then it is most likely the sensor.

Hopefully, that will fix your problem, but if not then it could be in the microcomputer which is a problem because it is a part that is hard to find.

My 790.94322302 Kenmore Oven & Broiler stopped working

The odds of both elements going out would be unusual.Tried to look up any other parts but the only other thing is the control module without having a wireing diagram. There should be one on the back of the stove if you can trace wires back from elements.I know that if the oven is in clean mode it over rides the oven controls. But with the electronic controlls don't think that it is possible.

Broiler element not working

It's either the switch that supplys power to the broiler element or it's the element itself (probably the element itself). I'd go after that first as it's not that expensive.

It's not a thermostat because if it was, the bake element wouldn't work either. The broiler element is not supposed to come on except when in the broil mode or cleaning mode.
