Have you set your local network card to 192.168.0.2 or 192.168.1.2 then try to access your router using a web browser ay 192.168.0.1 or 192 168.1.1 if you are on a dsl line you may have to input a user name and password to connect to the internet

I have a D-Link wireless N 300 Router DIR-615 I canot get the password to work to add more items to work with my router yes it has a reset button and i have pushed it..

Check the label under or at the back of the router for the default user name and password.. If you can't connect with this information try a reset ... hold the reset button in for 30 seconds to attempt a reset. If unsuccessful try again but also hold the button in while unplugging and reconnecting the AC adaptor at the back of the unit. If it still fails to reset after trying this a few times the unit may have a hardware failure.

Forgot password for router so security is on and i cant connect laptop wireless

You can solve this issue by resetting the router to factory settings. To do so, Check the back of the router for a red button with "reset" written beside it. You should push this button with a paperclip or something similar for a few seconds and this will reset it. BEWARE: This will also wipe wathever you have setted up on the router so you will have to reconfigure it again to work with your network.

Good Luck!

I have a belkin router and when I try to make it secure it locks the wireless network and I cant access the password to unlock it. How do I fix it?

In order to get your router back to the original settings, you must push in the reset button (usually on the back of the router) for somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds depending on the router. You may need a pin or something small to push in the button, because it can be recessed. Once you have reset the router, the username and password will be changed to the defaults, admin and password, respectively. One thing you must remember is that resetting the router will change all of the router settings back to the factory settings. This means you will lose all of the changes you made since you got the router. Make sure to write down any things you've changed, so you can change them back after the reset. Also, I recommend updating to the latest firmware after the reset.

Http://192.168.1.1/ is not working

Hi Friend,

You need to reset the router. Push and hold the reset button atthe back of the router for 30 seconds and then release it. Turn off the router for another 30 seconds and switch it on again. Then try to open 192.168.1.1. If this also does not work then try to hard reset the router. To hard reset the router please follow the steps:

1. Push and hold the reset button for 10 seconds and turn the router off for another 10 seconds and then switch it on.

Repeat the above steps three times and then try to open 192.168.1.1. This time you will be able to open the router setup page.

Reset teh router to factory default with the reset button. You will need to push this button with a paper clip or toothpick as it will be small. Then configure the router and reset your password.

I cant get into the settings for my Dynamode wireless cable router

Reset the router to factory default, this way you can put in a new password and WEP.
**On the vast majority of routers the reset button is found either on the back plate or on the underside of the router. The reset button is on the rear of your router

**The reset button is YES! a TINY tiny little hole no bigger than a pencil point or full stop. You can easily miss it, to perform a reset you will need a paper clip or pin.

TO RESET, using the paper clip straightened out, push the end of the paper clip into the tiny hole, and push it firmly until you feel a resistance. hold the paper clip, & push & hold in the reset button for 20 -25 seconds (with the power turned on). after you have done this power off and power back on the router.

Now! the router should have all its original factory default settings, as if you just took it out of the box for the first time:so you should be able to get to the setup page and set the WEP encryption.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
