Getting a Belkin F5D7051 Wireless USB Net Adapter to work with Linux

I'm running the Gutsy Gibbon release of Xubuntu linux and I can't get my Belkin F5D7051 to work. I've tried NDISWrapper and Madwifi, but can't get either to work. Can someone offer a simple step by step doc to walk through the process?

Any thoughts at all? I'm almost at the point of buying a new PCI based supported Wireless card, but don't really want the expense....

Please help. All assistance greatly received.

Cannot finddriver to run BT Voyager 1065 wireless pcmia card on PCLINUXOS Worked ok when windows ndiswrapper was used now only linux on dive, I cannot get card to work. Any clues?

Very few wireless will work on Linux without NDIS Wrapper. The brand doesn't matter in Linux, its all about the chip set and the worst of these (in my opinion) are broadcom chipsets. Which are unfortunately very common.

There are several attempts to remedy this:
  • http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Tools.html
  • https://launchpad.net/intellinuxwireless

It worked with my Samsung USB and some others.

...and several linux drivers for specific models on sourceforge...
