I need to clear debris from under the inlet protector. The two screws and the foreign object protector have been removed, but the inlet protector seems stuck in place. Is there a trick to pulling it out? Thanks for your help, Steve

Here's a diagram and parts list for your dishwasher. Maybe the diagram will help.

Hi Steve,

I am not sure on what you are calling the inlet protector. Check out this link and let me know if it is one of the pieces that are called out here and the number it corresponds to.

This link shows how to clean out the sump so not every part in there is shown.

Fuel leaks from carb after mowing till tank empty

Most often this is caused be an inlet needle in the carburetor not seating.
1) The inlet needle itself can be at fault
2) The needle seat can be damaged
3) Dirt/debris/foreign object caught in the needle seat can hold the needle open causing a syphon effect
4) Debris/foreign material in the fuel can be transferred to the tank
5) Best to use plastic fuel can

Kenmore oasis codes

The SD code means that excessive suds were detected. There are a few possible causes: 1) too much detergent, 2) not using a HE detergent, 3) something clogging the pump debris catcher (coin catcher) or drain, 4) a problem with the pump.

First try pressing Cancel and wait for any suds to subside. Then try the spin cycle again. If that works, try running the washer a few times with no clothing and no detergent. This will rinse any excess soap out.

Since the spin/drain cycle isn't completing, I suggest you prepare to pull the pump. Unplug the washer and remove the hoses (inlet and drain). Tape the door shut. You will need to tilt the washer onto the front (put some towels on the floor). Have a bucket ready to catch the water from the unit. Disconnect the drain hose from the larger pump you see by loosening the clamp. Look for any foreign objects in the pump. Similarly remove the inlet hose from the pump. To get the pump completely free, remove the end cover and remove the wire connector. Then remove the three screws that hold the pump. Check the pump again for foreign objects. Make sure that the hoses are also clear. If the pump doesn't work and there are no foreign objects, you probably need to replace the pump. If the washer is under warranty, contact Sears. Replace the pump by reversing the steps.

I hope this helps.

Paper jamm

Leading cause of paper jams is debris/foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please follow steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris in the cartridge carrier's path or the paper path.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My whirlpool duet washer gives an F21 code error and will not drain or spin. The hose seems to be clear. Is there anything I can do?

Foreign objects in the drain prestrainer :
remove front access panel below the door (3-4 screws at the bottom of the panel in front)
have towels ready there will be water. may even need a bucket depending how much back up you have.
remove round plug turning counterclockwise
remove debris and clear prepump area
check that the pump entrance is clear as well
re-assemble
