You didn't specify which Studio 17, so here is the 1737 manual,

if you go to and put in your service tag, it will send you to the correct manual if it is a different version

You will need an HDMI socket, surface mounted and the corresponding components to solder on to the mother board. Very much a major task!

Pioneer pdp-5070pu HDMI port 5 has a megenta hue to it. All other HDMI ports and component ports are fine. What board might need to be replaced?

The main board that has the HDMI ports on it. The numbers can be taken from the board itself. Once the board is replaced, you'll have to go thru all the setup menu's because the memory is on that board too.

Both hdmi ports on panasonic th50px75u out

If have tried more than one unit it may be the ports but the only way you are going to find out is to locate and replace the entire board they are mounted on.

HDMI Port Does Not Work

If 2 does not work it is likely the socket itself which means replacing the board they are mounted on, seen several techs try to replace a socket and not one had success.

47 7300 only one Hdmi port is working

just open the back cover to access the internal part of the tv unit. now re soldered the pin terminal port of the other HDMI port usually a cause is loose contact. after that if still doesn't recognized and not working fine the other port you will need a digital tester check open component resistor as will as shorted diode connected going to the pin terminal of the HDMI port so that the input signal will be recognized. replaced defective component with the same value. hope this will solved the problem thanks for consulting through fixya good bless.

You can't remove the port itself, it it physically attached to the motherboard.

Toshiba 62HM95, my second HDMI port has stopped working for some reason. First port works like always but the second just stopped working not long ago. dont know what to do. anybody know whats up?

The board that the port is located on will need to be replaced. Most of the time it is a problem with in the port it self. Because of the way it is mounted, replacing the port is not possible. There is always the possibility that it is also a electronic switching problem and I believe that is also part of
the circuitry on the board the port is on.
I hope this helps,

Where will I find a rear view of this TV? Looking for cable connection on back. Have TV mounted and cannot easily take down.

The support files are available on Sony's web site. is the correct page for just viewing the rear panel port arrangement. The component video ports and audio (1 and 2) are on the left, the HDMI 1 is towards the right and is ~1/2 way down the panel. The coax input is below and to the left of the rest of the rear inputs. will let you download the manuals or view the entire reference online. Additional ports are on the right side (as you look at the back) which may be easier to access with the TV mounted (only USB, VGA, HDMI and composite or S-video from top to bottom)

I hope this helps.

My hdmi port is not working

I have Verizon Fios and there's a known issue with the motorola HD boxes that they have bad hdmi ports, the screen goes green and that's it, nothing I can do about it I just use component cables. You need to be sure it's your tv not the cable box. Try the hdmi on a dvd player or ps3 or whatever else you have first just to be sure it's the tv at fault not the cable box. If you determine it is the tv you need to replace either the main board or the video board depending on your specific tv model. Some have the video inputs on the main boards some have video boards.

No sound through HDMI port on rear of tv

You could replace the HDMI port on the TV, it's no different than changing a USB port card in your computer. But, finding the replacement HDMI port card for your TV can be tough. Try for parts.
