What is the shape of the handle bars on the Schwinn High Timber Girl's bike?

These are certainly not racing style bars; but the modern, hybrid riser handlebar.

They will not sweep back toward the rider as much as a beach cruiser handlebar; but could be adjusted rearward to come closer to the rider. They definitely allow for a more upright riding position than many other handlebars though.10_19_2012_7_26_19_pm.jpg

I have a schwinn steel floor bicycle pump with a guage Do I need to periodically oil it so it wont lose pressure while pumping up tires or a ball?

Hi sixgnsannie1
I will answer yes on the use of oil to act as a sealant so the bike pump will not loose pressure while filling your tires or balls.
Just a small amount will do it, do not over oil.

You need a special tool to push out one of the pins in the chain. Park tools has several, and they have how-to videos on their site. Good luck, Al K

I just tried filling up the tires on my schwinn cf 1000 but all they air drained out and the air pump isn't working correctly. how do i get air in the tires!!!! THANKS

This sounds like what happened to me with my bike a couple weeks ago. Sometimes the tube gets shifted inside the tire and keeps air from flowing in. I had to take my bike to the shop so they could shift it back into place and also replace the air valve. If you have the right tools and expertise this can be done at home, but since I have neither I could not. :)

Micargi men's cruiser - do I need metric or english tools?

since its made in china, My guess would be metric,, But remember that a 13 and 1/2 inch are the same , so is a 15 and a 9/16 I have a Schwinn that actually needs both ,, the main thing is to make sure its a tight fit so you don't round off any nuts or bolts , by the way the english tools are called SAE , if you need heres a conversion chart Please take a moment to rate my reply and research Thanks Good Luck

How does one get the needle to work

That pump was making me nuts tonight so I had to pull it apart to see how it works. It looks like the air should come out of the needle when the lever in the rear is resting down. The squishy rubber tip up front should push the internal valve to the rear and the needle hole lines up. My issue is that the assbly was jammed up and it would not let me put the thing on a tube valve. So if you can't put the pump on a tire then the internals are stuck forward in the "air out the front" area. Try to give the hole a nice push to the rear and see if the needle kicks in. It works like a faucet sort of.
Pull off the front valve and see if the internal piston moves front and rear while you push it back and the lever will push it forward. I think they are of low quality based on the few I have seen.
