Okay, heres what you need to do, if its a 3g/3gs, if its an original your out of luck. anyway the charging assembly is the same as the speaker and microphone set up its all one piece, search youtube on how to open an iphone, once you do you can see an assembly on the bottom, pull up the tab that says "4" there will be 4 screws to remove in each corner of the set up. once removed pull it out and replace it with a new one. (you can buy these off ebay, search for iPhone 3g/3gs charging assembly)

Iphone won't charge unless it is completely powered off

Luckily, there are some tracks you can try to fix it.
iPhone wont charge when turn on
# Check Charging Accessories
# Clean Charging Port
# Hard Reset Your iPhone
# Using iPhone Recovery Mode
# Restore iPhone to Factory Settings

try practical methods to fix your problem, and if it still can't get your problem solved, just take it in for service at the nearest Apple Store in your area to get the help of the Apple employee.

I dropped my phone last night and the screen black

Sounds like you either damaged the back light or display or hopefully just knocked the connector loose. Either way the case would need to be opened so you need to get it to a repair shop.

Iphone is only showing the apple won't switch on/off

You phone needs to be opened and inspected for damage. But you can check to charging/connector port and see if there is any damage or water damage and if so clean it with 99% alcohol. Hopefully you get lucky and it detects and you can reflash with new software. If it didn't work you can send to me for repair. thank you

I got my apple iphone 8gb wet in its screen has turned black and stopped charging. now i am unable to use it

Your phone is water damaged, try putting it in a bowl of rice , which should help to absorb the excess moisture. Other than that maybe send to to an iPhone repair shop.

The bottom row of the touch screen is not working but I can slide to unlock. Its the icons I can't get to

Sounds like you have a dead line in the digitizer and it will have to be replaced. If its not still in warranty, I recommend taking it to a repair shop or sending it to someone for repair, Unless your comfortable working on small electronics, then I dont recommend trying to replace it yourself. I have seen to many people bring me there phones who have tried to replace it themselves and have damaged other components. If you think you can do it yourself, they can be purchased on ebay for under $30 (make sure you get the correct model 3G or 3GS because they are different) and instruction videos can be found on youtube
