Question about Kenwood KDC-MP4028 CD Player
When I put a cd in it doesn't play and immediately goes back to "tuner" and "in" on the display is flashing. When I open the face to eject the cd it's sticking out a little bit. Like it tried to eject.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

There is a small hole at the bottom of the stereo face that will reset the system. I pushed a pen tip into the hole and it turned the stereo off. When I removed the pen, the system turned on and the CD ejected. Problem solved.

SOURCE: Face wont open
if you have already tried hitting the reset button you should first remove the faceplate and check the contacts on the main unit and the back of the faceplate. if they are dirty clean them (with power off) with contact cleaner or a small eraser. if your lucky that will fix the problem but most likely you have a bad ribbon cable. this cable attaches the faceplate contacts to the main unit and flexes as the face tilts. after time these cables get small cracks that may not be visible. you can usualy buy the part from a place like pacparts.com and replace it to solve your problem.
