The problem is from your hear piece, it must have been damaged or bad, all you need is to replace it. For you to further know that the problem is from your ear piece, try to make use of handfree or headphone, if you probably hear your caller, then it means that the eart piece of the phone is damage or bad. You can give a phone engineer to repair it for you, or better still, samsung customer service center in your area.

SOURCE: cant hear when someone calls
Did the phone fell from you or did you use it to hit any hard surface? because that is one the reason that can cause these problem.
The problem with the phone is just that both the earpiece and the mouthpiece of your phone is bad, that is why you cannot be heard and why people cannot hear you.
All you need to do is to change both the earpiece and the mouthpiece of your phone in other for you people to hear you and for you to hear them as well.
Replace the earpiece and the mouthpiece as said, that will solve your phone problem.
