You will need to shop carefully. That is not too much of a power jump to worry about ruining axles, gears and the like. BUT, do be mindful that you have to shop an engine to match two very important criteria:
Bolt patterns and spacing: This is how the engine will attach to the mower's deck/chasis.
Output shaft length, diameter, taper and if it's keyed or non-keyed.
If looking to just replace a tired old iron horse, similar make and model to the original with slight power upgrade cannot be helped - but the bolts and shafts will be pretty much spot on.
