actually, it is not possible to download ringtones to a Rant from Myxer. You have to use a phone uploader with ringtones from your computer and send yourself a "jump code". Unfortunately, Cricket does not offer this option.
Flashing a device is something the provider/manufacturer has to do. Some programs online will do it but these charge a fee as well. If you do not need the internet you should be able to call Verizon and have the phone unlocked so long as you have not breached your contract with the. This will allow you to use a Cricket SIM, assuming they use SIM cards.

CDMA cell phones generally cannot be used on any other network than the one that the ESN is programmed to. For example, Cricket ESNs can only be used on cricket, Verizon ESNs, can only be used on verizon... It doesn't matter if you change the firmware or not, many other service providers will not accept another service provider's ESN.
You might not be able to use that becasue thats a verizon feature and they have there network info bassically permenently installed in the hardware. If you open the flip phone, hit menu, and hit " 0 " it will give you a service menue, password is all 0's
Dont mess around in there, you could mess up the phone, but if you look at the setting, somewhere in there it will show you that verizon has there info in there even though cricket flashed it, you cant change it. At least no way that i have found.
