Install the Garmin City Navigator Cd to your pc and then connect ur garmin to ur pc with the USB cable.
You might have to unlock the maps with information provided with ur garmin like ur unit ID and ur unlock code.
Another possiblity is that ur memory card is gotten corrupted so try installing it on a different micro sd card.
Let us know if u have any luck.

Re Garmin Streetpilot i3 Satellite Problem

you should be able to use ur garmin I3 with the top facing the sky thru ur windshield just fine. Just like the one in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCLiEOinqAU

If the problem still exists then try reinstalling the maps again. Make sure you have the Map Source and City navigator installed from the Cd provided. And install the maps once again like u did at first. It should fix the problem.

Garmin Streetpilot i3 GPS cannot load map to memory card

Sounds like your battery died and there's no juice to it. When the battery is low, the unit shuts itself off and has a hard time starting up. If possible, try plugging in your unit with a USB cable from the computer and leave the computer on for a few hours and see if that doesn't solve the problem. When in the car, sometimes the cigarette lighter socket comes loose.

Regarding your i3, the USB drivers must be loaded BEFORE you connect your garmin. If you do not have your USB drivers, you can download them from:

http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00434-00

Also, why would you need to upload maps? The i3 comes pre-loaded.

Cannot load map in my Garmin Streetpilot i3 GPS

i dont think you can upload maps to an i3, it can only load pre-loaded maps on micro-sd cards.

Problem loading maps to ubs card

The i3 comes with a 128MB micro SD card - first can you be more specific as to what you refer to as "not recognized"? Do the usb drivers install correctly and after installation is the i3 recognized by your pc once you hook it up with the USB cable? Is the micro SD card in place? Is it all the way in the slot?
