Unfortunately there aren't audio drivers for win7 for this motherboard. But since it's a very common audio chip (realtec), I suppose that the winXP version will fit ok. From this link you can download these drivers.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

Unable to load realtek audio driver win 7 on intel DG33PR

Ther are 32 bit drivers and 64 bit audio drivers.

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers.

Usb port on presario F500 quit working, they are seen by device manager but will not reconize a flashdrive when incerted, a mouse or any thing else. Using win 7,64 bit t3500 cpu.

Hello,

This should be pretty easy to fix. I have seen this many times before. Here's what to do:

Go into device manager and expand 'universal serial bus controllers'.

Start at the very bottom, and start deleting the usb root hubs one by one. You will lose your touchpad control at some point, as the touchpad is actually a usb device. One of thwo things will happen.

1. The usb hubs will automatically be re-detected and re-installed.
2. You will just lose touchpad control after deleting one of the root hubs. If this happens, then shut down using the power button, and restart. Th usb hubs will be reinstalled once you log back into windows. Please let me know if this doesn't fix it.

No audio device is showing on my gigabyte 7vm400m-rv motherboard. what pin connections should there be to enable this function

Hi Steve

You don't say which Operating System you use, so my answer will be presented in general, Windows terms. If yours is a non-Windows Operating System and my answer seems to be of some relevance to you, please consider applying the logic and principles involved here to your own Operating System and, if in doubt, please feel free to add a Comment or Clarification to this Question. Please include information about the type, model and specification of your computer, its Audio/Sound Card and its Operating System. Doing so helps us makes faster, more accurate and more assured Remote Diagnostics leading to better quality and more useful Advice, Answers, Guidelines , How-Tos and Solutions.

You also don't say if you are using the on-board sound or a separate, dedicated PCI Audio/Sound Card.

Pin connections on the motherboard relate to the Front Panel Audio Connectors on the front of your Computer only.

If no audio device is showing on your Operating System's desktop, then this is an Audio Driver or Audio Device Settings problem, rather than a motherboard Front Audio Panel Header Pin Settings issue.

Start > (My) Computer > (System Properties) View System Settings > Device Manager

This will tell you if the Audio/Sound Device is installed and functioning properly and if the Audio/Sound Driver is installed properly. If a yellow question or exclamation mark appears next to the Audio/Sound Device, then there is a settings anomaly, fault, error or conflict with the device and/or its Driver.

AUDIO DEVICE SETTINGS
For your Audio/Sound Device to function properly, it must be set as the Default Device:

Start > Control Panel > (Hardware and Sound) Sounds and Audio Devices > (Manage Audio Devices) Audio > click on the preferred Default Playback device > Apply > OK > restart computer.

AUDIO/SOUND DRIVER PROBLEMS
Re-install the correct Audio/Sound Driver that relates to BOTH the device and your Operating System, then restart the computer. Install the Audio/Sound Driver either from the motherboard's Drivers and utilities CD or from here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2323#dl

Please note that this motherboard supports only Win 95/Win 98/Win 98SE/Win ME/Win 2000/Win NT/Win Server 2003 (32 Bit)/Win Server 2003 (64 Bit)/Win XP (32 Bit)/Win XP (64 Bit) and possibly also some Linux Distros (Operating Systems). If your Operating System is not included in this list, then it is highly probable that no Audio/Sound Drivers exist for that Operating System.

If this is the case, then consider buying and installing an inexpensive, basic 5.1 or 7.1 PCI Sound Card that is pre-confirmed as being compatible with your Operating System.

For motherboard pin settings diagrams, download the manual for this motherboard from here:

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Gigabyte-GA-K8VT800-manual/id/23286ag203/t/2/

MOTHERBOARD FRONT PANEL AUDIO HEADER SETTINGS
Pin 1 Left is usually MIC IN
Pin 2 Left is usually MIC BIAS/MIC PWR/MIC 5V
Pin 3 Left is usually OUT RIGHT
Pin 4 Left is usually GROUND/GRD
Pin 5 Left is usually OUT LEFT

Pin 1 Right is usually MIC GROUND/GRD
Pin 2 Right is usually Empty/Blank
Pin 3 Right is usually RIGHT RETURN

I hope this helps.

My M-Audio 410 run well on my XP pc.... after that i try to use it on win7 pc using driver download frm m-audio website but it can't detect. after that i try to test back on my last xp pc but it can't...

HI there
I would imagine the drivers from M-Audio are not signed and therefore may not be proven to be compatible with win7. I checked the website and they have drivers for different service pack levels on Vista (I know yours is win7) which is very unusual. This points to them having issues releasing signed off working drivers. Make sure you know what you have installed, 32 or 64 bit win 7. Do not go by the sticker on the case. Go start>control panel>system and look it up philswift_13.jpg
Both versions of 64 bit and 32 bit seem the same file FireWire_6.0.1_5.10.0.5058.exe

which seems weird too

I would uninstall the drivers and choose delete as well
start>search> type 'dev' and see the results. Click on device manager, open it
under sound right click all devices>properties>click on driver tab>
philswift_14.jpg

then click uninstall but tick the delete driver box too
philswift_15.jpg

then reboot the pc but do not load the driver from M audio
we want Microsofts generic driver to load
After the reboot see if it works.

If not do a system update (start>search>type 'windows u' and click on windows update
Look under optiopnal updates and see if there is one for an audio device and load that

Failing this try the M audio XP driver
If that fails, uninstall and delete as per earlier.

Failing that try the Win 7 driver for 32 bit
If that fails, uninstall and delete as per earlier.

Failing that try the Win 7 driver for 64 bit
If that fails, uninstall and delete as per earlier.

I think M audio has issues with code for drivers and win 7
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anJJ02VV1qs
You may want to look at a new system as it seems M has some bad press with support.

All the best now, but it may be that the drivers are not signed off from Microsoft. If this is the case, you may want to chase up M audio and ask if they can be honest and let you know if there are any issues with Windows 7.
Microsoft are releasing Service Pack for Win 7 first half of 2011 and this may mop-up some issues. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/downloads/service-packs
