Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
goodluck!

If by power, you mean exponents, there are several rules.

Negative exponent - 1 over the same number to the positive exponent
Zero exponent - anything to the exponent 0 is 1

### My exponent key does not revert to regular script after i'm done with the exponent. it stays as superscript.

Press the right-arrow key to tell the calculator you're done with the exponent. Otherwise the calculator thinks you're typing in a very complicated exponent.

### Exponents

To enter decimal exponents, use the x10^x key below the 3, followed by the exponent. For example, to enter one million, press 1 x x10^x 6 and see 1000000 (actually, the leading one is optional: if you press x10^x without a value, the calculator will supply a 1).

To raise a value to a number, use the x^ key above the sin, followed by the exponent. For example, to calculate 2^3, press 2 x^ 3 = and see 8.

### Adding Exponents on a Casio fx-300MS

Hello,
The calculator applies the rules during the internal calculations. But all it shows you is the (final) result. It does not keep track of what exponents you used to get to the result. It is not capable of doing symbolic manipulations.
Hope you are not too disappointed.
