If the VCR has a scart yes you can connect to a new LCD has most have at least one scart. If the VCR doesn't have a scart you should be able to to get a scart lead adapter that will allow you to connect whatever type of connections are on the back of the VCR. If the TV has only one scart and you are using it for a DVD, then I suggest you get one of these scart switching boxes, the one shown is from Amazon.

How to connect antenna to klv 40u100m

Correct. You have to connect the antenna to another box and then take the output of that box to the TV. An old VCR is ideal as this box.

Trying to hookup old dvd/vcr to new flat screen. have cable box hooked up nad working. dvd/vcr no hdmi connections. what cable hookup do I use

You need to use composite inputs. They have three connections, yellow for video, white for left audio and red for right audio. It does not matter which input you go into. I would imagine there are about 7 separate inputs like the ones I described, just remember which one you use because you will have to set the input to that number to see the VCR/DVD later. Get a phono or RCA patch cable and connect the same colors from out on the vcr/dvd box to in on the tv. Turn everything on, set the tv to the proper input using the menu or input selection and you should be able to view video tapes or dvds. Let me know if you need more help.

The cable connection is broken i need to replace this part

Thats a little tough to do, You need to take apart the TV, remove the welds that hold the coxial in place and sodier on a new one. You could get a cable box from you cable company by requesting one and just use the RCA outputs on that box, you will have to change channels with the new remote but it will work. Also if you have an old VCR you can run the cable into there and the RCA out to your TV, just set your TV on the input you have the VCR coming into and change the channel with your VCR remote.

VCR picture with INSIGNIA 26'' lcd tv

I would check if you have selected the correct tv input on you remote. the shadow movement you see may be bleeding over from another input. on your TV remote you will see "input", keep clicking it, delaying a little each time, until you get to the correct input you are connected to.

Tuning VCR into Tv

Set the LCD to TV source and tune the LCD TV channel to 3 or 4.

For best viewing experience, you should connect the LCD TV to the VCR using component / SVideo or RCA cables instead of RF coxial to avoid signal loss. Your VCR manual should indicate these types of connections.

Coaxial to component

You may need an extra HD tuner for your TV. The only problem that you may have would be the original signal running through the coaxial cable. If it's just regular TV stations, the tuner should fix the problem.
