Cease using this till repaired to avoid further damage IF the sounds exist with cables unplugged... Some noise is normal if gain control is way up. Make sure the master gain is at halfway so you aren't getting all the gain at the input...

I could explain why but, it's simply that Behringer is bottom line equipment, these days, that provides no support and has their components special made. Generic replacement parts can't be used because the values of them are not allowed to be known to the consumer. This means you can't get the equivalent parts to fix it. Sorry, that is my experience with Behringer. I've never been able to find parts for any of these.

Behringer ac 112 guitar amp powers up, display works. dials act normally, but no sound. only static as volume turned down (speaker works). amp was left on for long period

Try putting guitar trough the FX Loop, if there is still no sound, you may have a problem with the Power Supply.

WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL. - rules Volume problems on computers often happen for a variety of reasons. Volume troubleshooting, however, is one of the easiest problems to troubleshoot because there are only a few things that usually cause the problems. Usually the problem isn't even an error but just merely an adjustment that needs to be made. Test your speakers. This is the first thing you should check if you can't hear anything coming out of your computer. First try turning up the volume know and make sure you are in fact turning the volume knob and not a tone or balance knob. Make sure the speakers are completely plugged in to the wall and the computer. Test with another set of speakers or headphones after you have done this. Check the computer volume level. On the taskbar is a volume icon, which usually looks like a small speaker. Click on the icon and turn the volume up. Make sure it has not been muted. Double clicking on the icon will bring up a panel of several volume controls. Try turning up the volume on each slider. Go to Control Panel and choose "Sounds and Audio Devices." Under the volume tab, click speaker volume and turn up the level if needed. Turn up the application volume. Most programs that use sound have an additional volume control just for that program. Find the volume control and turn it up. Usually it is located in the lower right or left corner on the program, but you may have to search for it. Troubleshoot the sound card. Download the latest drivers from your sound card manufacturer's website. Go to Control panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager. Click on "Sound, Video and Game Controllers." Click on your sound card, select the driver tab and then click on "Update Driver." Point to the file where you saved the latest drivers from the website. After this, restart your computer. The speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer or if its a laptop on the side
you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make

sure the connection is good with no dust as dust causes static electricity clean your computer of dust using a can of compressed air or fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is

no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit

dust causes static to build up in a computer If this doesn't solve your problem, try reseating the sound card into your computer. Hope this helps.

The volume of the sound source (Mac) must be sufficient, otherwise the transmitter automatically turns off. Turn up the volume on the Mac, and turn down the volume on the headphones. There is no way to disable the Automatic On/Off function of the transmitter.

Pluggin headphones into my behringer 2442fx mixer is creating a lot of static coming out of the headphones.

This happens when you have lose earth connection from your main source power supply. Check the earth connections (grounding) which should be available in the mixer, i.e some power cords don;t have earth wire, so change this if you think yours don't have it. Also check the grounding of the other items attached to your mixer, basically grounding is very important to reduce the static shorts. Try changing the power supply source, change to other outlet and check if it is OK.

The setting of the volume controls bears LITTLE importance to the actual level the unit is being run at since one can send high levels INTO the units from the source. These are intended to be used in a studio for the audio engineer to listen to in a small room. They should really be no louder than a consumer BoomBox maximum.

A squeaking noise is not normal at a level such as mentioned however. You might see if the noise is from the speaker itself or possibly parts of the cabinet... Plastic parts are NOTED for squeeking and can be suitably lubricated.

Beyond that, since the units are new, you should be able to exercise your warranty.

Hi xaser

Check that someone has not turned on the tape monitor or mute. Both of these may cause the problem. Is there alot of noise with the sound you are getting when you turn it up?
