PCN 4545 Chainsaw I unfortunately used unleaded petrol instead of 2 stroke, now can not get saw to start, is it game over for carberette?

Hi, it won't affect the carby which I'm afraid is the only good news. It will need a new piston and probably a cylinder. Depending on the price of these parts to suit your model it may not be worth repairing. Sorry Phil.

My Ryobi chainsaw PCN 4545 overheated

Sawdust/dirt build-up helps cause this situation. Usually, the band is deformed so that it drags. The melted case parts may or may not need replacement, but will likely need trimming. The band usually does as it is difficult to remove the small bends in it. After repair, make sure the chain turns freely by hand. Set and reset the brake several times to make sure it works correctly. The clutch outer drum rarely deforms when this happens. Hope this helps!

Hi, I have a Ryobi PCN 4545 petrol Chainsaw that i have owned for about 4 years with little use. I went on a Chainsaw users course over the weekend and took the saw on the instructors recommendation....

You probably don't want to hear this, but there have been many many problems with this unit. It is now, discontinued, Personally, I would get another one, any other one. To have any chance of any type of repair, you must get a service and repair manual. I have searched extensively but have been unable to find any manuals other than the User, one supplied.

How to change the oil pump on the chainsaw model pcn 4545

Patrick;
I could not find anything matching the number you provided. I did find an electric saw "RY43006 Chain Saw" here (follow the instructions):
Homelite/Ryobi.com (authorized parts supplier)
https://www.gardnerinc.com/recons/disclaimer-lg.php - Agree; Choose “Product Line”; “Select OEM” & “Select Catalog” both to “Homelite Consumer Products”. A drop down list appears; self explanatory from here.
The numbers Homelite & Ryobi use do not match the numbers everyone posts. A careful inspection of your saw should find something that matches.

I think with the IPL as a disassembly guide replacement is pretty easy. There are a couple of hoses listed, I suspect one of them failed rather than the pump.

If this is not your saw please provide some different numbers (reply below) and I will try again. Good Luck. HTH
