Replaced Lamp/Bulb on Mitsubishi DLP television. Have replaced bulb in past without issue. This time get horizontal linear "lines" or banding across the picture (comes & goes). What do you think the issue is? Thanks, Dave 773.550.8762

Doesn't have anything to do with electrical line... This starting happening at the time the bulb/lamp was replaced.

It is one of the following four projection models:

    WD-52525

    WD-52725

    WD-62525

    WD-62725

    Thanks,

    Dave

    To whom it may concern:

I have a Mitsubishi DLP Projection Television, Model (WD-52525 or, WD-52725 or, WD- 62525, or WD-62725).

When replacing the lamp/bulp I now get spuratic horizontal banding / linear pattern.

I have replaced this bulb 3-4 time before and have never experienced this problem.

Manual convergence should fix the problem if it does not the set most likely either has a bulb burnt out or a bulbs power / focus needs to be adjusted by taking off the panel and finding a 6 screw control panel

...
...

should look like that 3 screws in a row on top of another three screws each of thees control the power and focus of each color this is a somewhat delicate process and is a huge pain on larger tvs that you cannot completely see the picture or color while you are directly under in front of it so I had my gf come in the room and sit across to let me know which color was doing what if you dont have someone you will need to check after each adjustment

now the diagnostic
as i said each screw controls a colors power and focus the focus is used if you see an outline of a color around pictures if everyone looks like a dead jedi with a blue aura around them the blue focus needs to be adjusted and so on for each color if you skies or blue screens seem feint your blue power probably needs to be turned up and so on for each color

if through the course of this you can see the bulbs and notice one is out your probably looking at dealing with the color issue until the time you can purchase a new tv as the cost of the bulb and the technician needed to install it as they are wired to a circuit board and requires technical knowledge and tools

hope this helped

Most often, this is caused from electrical line noise.

Your question is listed under Flat-Panel, however a DLP is a rear projection. Can you provide the model number? There may be some additional information I can provide.

The xx525 series has a common problem with the power supply. They often have dry capacitors which bulge up on the top. I have seen 2 sets do this on this model. 1 set on the top side of the power supply on the 12v line... and another set on the back side (left) of the power supply, 3300uf. Both location references I have made refer to the position if you simply swing the chassis out of the TV, remove the shielding and examine the board without disconnecting it. If you replace these capacitors, us good quality, low ESR replacement parts. You can find them on MCM electronics by searching for the uF value. Do not use Radio Shack parts for this repair.

Try cleaning up your wires then... when your back there, try looking at the actual model number on the unit.

Mitsubishi wd 60735 dlp tv red lamp light

A common issue and it may be your problem is dust and dirt inside the unit---the set intakes air from the front and exhausts it out the rear==I have seen several of these sets where removing rear cover and taking stthe set outside and blowing it with a air compressor clears the issue.

Fans and other critical items that get clogged or coated with a moderate amount of dust will cause this issue.

I have a dlp 73in mitsubishi tv and i have sparking in the long box next to the bulb housing

check to see if the lamp connectors inside the lamp compartment didnt get pushed back inside the set. If they are still there secure inside the lamp compartment then you will need a new ballast which you can get from www.tvrepairworld.com

Mitsubishi 65in DLP TV picture is not clear after I replaced the bulb. It was clear before the bulb was replaced but it seems to take time to catch up and is a little fuzzy.

Sometimes dust can get in between the lamp and lens take lamp out and check for dust with a lint free cloth.
If thats not it it could be the manufacturer of the lamp. I usually try to get the same manufacturer. You can try tinkering with sharpness or contrast but remember the points you adjust from just in case it makes it worst.
Good luck

Mitsubishi HC 900 DLP Projection Lamp Shutdown.

Honestly I would try entering the 'Lamp timer reset' code again. Or the button sequence given to reset the lamp timer.
An issue that may be happening is that something may have happened to the lamp ballast power supply also.
Just a thought.
Blessings always,

New bulb/TV still shuts down

Its far more likely the result of the power pwb capacitors that have failed. As the 34 code will appear if the capacitors fail on the Power PWB. You can get the V26 DLP Power repair kit at the following link.with free instructions

Buzzing noise from Mitsubishi DLP WD-52327 after replacing bulb

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.

Mitsubishi WT-42311 DLP Bulb Replacement

Your access should be a a panel near the back or side. You will see that it is somewhat easily removed and should have maybe one or two screws. You will see the casing to the lamp. Go ahead and remove it. Now unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new one. There is not a lot of screws holding it together. It's a fairly easy process once you find the lamp. You should see the lamp once the panel is removed.
