How to find the battery dirt bd10085 ?

Hi! The battery on the BD10085 is located internally. It is not user accessible or replaceable. If you are experiencing a short run time try depleting the battery. Run the cleaner until it completely shuts off and re-charge for a full 24 hours. Good luck!! If you need more assistance feel free to reach out to us here on Fixya, Facebook.com/dirtdevil or Twitter @DirtDevil.

Change motor brushes on Fein vacuum

If the vaccuum was used with large amount of fine dust , most times the filters are largely shut beaten ,beware also of the electric field look its color to get a indication of the expectation of the remaining running time of the motor. 80% chance by use of fine dust the motor can better be replaced instead of replace brushes because the brushes are in a short time again shorted because of 1 collector in the armature , or get an equivalent motor if you can get FIXAPART motor or a original replacement if the remainder is still in reasonable condition.
Some brands of vaccuums uses the same motor could be sometimes an option because of the price.

While vacuuming, the unit will stop/shut down. A short time later the unit will operate again but not for much longer. All filters are clean/new.

Check your hose for a clog. It's likely there is a plug somehwere. Run it (not while vacuming the carpet) with all three filters removed. See if you get good suction. If not then look around for a plug of dirt and hair somewhere.

Remove the low voltage wires (top left) if the vac unit still runs the problem is with vacuum

Our roomba vacuums, then beeps 5 times and shuts off.

Your cliff sensors aren't working properly. Tap the bumper five or six times to knock out anything caught behind it, then blow out under the bumper with some compressed air, really thoroughly. If that doesn't do it, call customer support at 877-855-8593.

Short run time

I turned mine over, and took out all the little tiny screws. There are 10 of them. Then 1 by 1 I took each gear out and cleaned the cat hair from around it, then put it back together. Mine works perfect now.

Be careful, I suggest disassembling one corner at a time and putting it back together as you go.

Good Luck

I have a central vacuum system. When I disconnect the hose from a wall outlet the central canister does not shut down dispite my turning off the vacuum at the handle of the hose. The only way I can get...

What I'm hearing is the canister(Not the Powerhead) portion of the unit is running all the time unless you unplug it. this problem could be caused by a short in one of your low voltage lines running through the house. To determine that just unplug one/both low voltage lines from the canister, and plug it back into the recepticle. If it doesn't start up then you figured out that it is in the house somewhere and not the unit. If it is in the house I would check for water in the valves, or you're just gonna have to chase down the short. If the unit is still running with the low voltage wires disconnected then it is probably the relay on the board, which means you will need a new board unless you're expereinced at soldering and want give it a try replacing just the relay. Which you'll probably need a new board by the time you're done anyhow. LOL

Good Luck

Temperature light keeps coming on

The whine tells you taht the bearings are bad. Now they may be putting a drag on the armature and causing it to shut down after getting hot. You will have to replace the motor.
