Question about Philips MC235 Shelf System

1 Answer

Philips mc235B/37 CD player no longers plays CDs. I get a "No Disc" error or an "Error" message. CD's often don'teven spin. If they do, they spin slowly, then stop, and start spinning in reverse before stopping.I use only regular retail CDs. I tried using a lens cleaner CD, but the lens cleaner CD wouldn't even play. Somebody please help, or I'll just have to junk this 13 month old product.

If you can see the laser then gentaly with a soft cloth wipe the lens
and then try

if that doesnt work then i recoment that you call philips and see what they say because it is slightly older than one year they might replace it for free
if not call the shop that you bought it from

Check with an other known good disc. If it shows the same for that disc too, its laser pickup unit has the fault, and should be replaced. Contact any experienced service technician. Replacing laser pickup assembly to blu-ray players are a very very skilled work. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

No Disc Error in Philps FWD17 with DVD and MP3-CD playback system

The problem with the system Philips FWD17 shows NO DISC for certain CDs which wont play. With regard to DVDs it doesnt recognise them at all. The disc spins and then stops showing NO DISC

I have replaced the lens with the same type and model SF-HD65. It still doesnt detect DVDs

Please advise.

Disc shows loading then error on all dvd disc

Put a cd in the dvd player if it is marked that it plays cds... if it plays the cd your dvd laser is shot... cheaper to get a new unit. if it doesn't play a cd try cleaning the laser. and last but not the last thing try unplugging it for a short time then plug it back in... if nothing works get the one tool that fixs most everything...... take it to office depot and they can recycle the stuff inside and help keep the earth green...then onto wally world.

Put a CD in and get message that says ER (Error?)...every CD that goes in spins, but does not play.

could be one of 2 things
use a cd lens cleaner to clean the laser lens .
or could be warped or damaged cds and player wont play them
also if they are burnt cd the player may be to old to read them.
