Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi,

It seems your system file got crashed which you need to recover using Recover Disc.

Take any Windows XP installtion disc and boot the system from CD.

After all the scanning of Hardware it ask you want to install fresh copy of windows or you just want to repair it.

Choose Automatic repair, it will run thru the wizard as similar to windows intallation. Only difference it will just repair the crrupted system files without user files loosing.

So thats all you need to make it work fine.

I loaded the HP Photosmart Essential to my computer, however, when I go to register it, it quits working. What do I need to do differently?

Here is the link for the driver again:
http://www.hp.com/united-states/consumer/digital_photography/free/software/index.html

Copy and paste the link to a new window.
Uninstall your previous download, shut down your computer Power back on after 10 seconds, reinstall this software.

I have 2 problems. I just bought a new HP Photosmart6250 and during the registration it said I already have a password. I tried to type what I thought it was and it wasn't so I hit forgot password. After...

Hi Meg,

as far as the printer registration, there are several things you can do. You can go directly to https://register.hp.com/americas/flowPage/registration/index.do?cc=US&lang=en to register your product. Once the product is registered, even if the software automatically reminds you to register later, you can just click cancel and "do not show again".

Second, most of the time, HP has "product registration" as a menu item after the software is installed on your computer.

Click on start, all programs, then choose the HP program, then the printer, then product registration.

As far as the second problem, if you registered the other printer, you can check the status of your that item from this link. https://register.hp.com/americas/flowPage/userHub/index.do

then, under the " I am a returning user " section, enter your user ID, or click on "forgot your user id?" link. enter the email address you would have used to register it, and they will email you your User ID. Same thing for the password.

Please take a moment to rate this solution, and thank you for using "Fixya" :)

HP Product Registration pop-up

This is caused by an entry in the Task Scheduler. To get rid of it, you need to be logged on with Administrator priveleges, then do the following:
1. Click Start, type the following in the search field and press enter: Task Scheduler
2. Cllick Continue to confirm permission.
3. Click Task Scheduler Library in the Left column.
4. Click on any of the following in the center column:
a. InternetService Offers (If your pop-up is regarding the internet)
b. Registration (If your pop-up is regarding registering your PC)
c. Service Plan (If your pop-up is regarding warrenty)
d. Extended Service (If your pop-up is regarding extended service plans)

BTW, notice that the idiot that programed these entries set them to trigger every 30 minutes, indefinatly.

Hope this helps.
