First, I looked at previous posts from you... looks like you turn the TV on, sounds like it might power up and then does not... is this correct? First thing you should check with this TV is the HOT (Horizontal Output Transistor). Make sure it is not shorted in any fashion. If it is, change the HOT and the FBT (Fly Back Transformer). These should always be changed as a pair.

I can't find an electronic service manual to reference, so this is the best I can do to point you to the FBT. I looks something like this:

The HOT will be a large 3 legged transistor mounted near by to a large heat sink.

The FBT (T461 on the board) has a PN: TFB3078ZD or 23236508. The HOT (Q404 on the board) PN is: 23205625. You could also look for the entire Power/Deflcetion PCB, PN: 23706559... PTS Electronics can repair it and send it back to you.

Kd-46wt500 sony big screen colors dont line up is projectors goin out picture on tv is blurry pic looks stretched out as well

Can you verify the model number and see if its A KP46WT500 model? If so chances are just the convergence Ics ( stk 392-560 ) and pico fuses are the problem. There are 6 3.5 amp pico fuses directly beneath the heat sink fins on the D board ( where the Convergence ICs are located) Check those six pico fuses and also two 5 amp picos on the G board ( where power cord plugs in) if any of the picos on either board are open then the Convergence ICs will require replacement.

I have A toshiba 57HX81 tv red ligth blicking.i found (2)5 amp pico fuses at F850 & F851 & (1) pico fuse 2AMP at F852 would replacing these fuses bring the tv back to life.

Too many possibilities to predict if the fuse replacements will make the set function again but I suspect your main power supply has failed so if the fuses blow after replacement, you may have to have the supply repaired or replace it.
You might check, using your model number, at the site below to see if they have a power supply 'pull' available from their stock. They part out retired sets of all kinds.

I replaed the convergance chips and still have a red shadow on my sony 51 inch projection tv

This set has two 5 amp fuses on power board that feed the convergence circuit, did you test them?

I needed I can provide photo of that board, fuses are pico fuses and not glass.

Let me know and I will be happy to help you.

Sony tv kp51ws500. 3 colour off centered.2 conv.ics replaced componant and voltages ckecks ok.yet convergence doesnt adjust.magic focus doesnt adjust colour. whats the solution.

perfect focus is what this uses-magic focus is what it is called in the Hitachi sets.

If it is KP51ws500 did you check the two 5 amp pico fuses on the other board---the power supply board?

let me know what you find and I will help you--I have fixed hundreds of these sets.

The green timer light flashes when i plug in the tv, after hitting power the timer light comes on for about 4 sec then goes out. Tv does not power up, the error code it blinks is 2 blinks a pause and 2...

MODEL NUMBER WT-46809:

2,2 is the error code for short protection.

The most common reason for this is one of the 2 pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit is blown. Changing the fuses will not help! They are green in color and soldered into the middle circuit board and are F9a04 and F9a05----look like resistors but are 5 amp fuses.

99% chance if one or both are blown---you have to have someone change the STK-392-570 convergence IC'S that this set uses----the IC'S can be purchased on Ebay for under 14 dollars and the same seller sells the pico fuses 5 @ 2.95.

The best thing to do here if you or someone you know is able is to unplug the set and look for the fuses---middle board towards the back---there are 5 of them and the two closest to the back of the row are for the convergence IC----If someone checks them (like testing any other fuse) you will know--if either or both is blown--the convergence IC got them.

I have start to finish, step by step instructions and photos of the fuses etc----If you or someone you know can solder and is handy--you may be able to do the repair yourself.

If not, shops usually charge 300-400 for this kind of repair in this set.

LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED ANY ADVICE or help.

Pico/ Resistors what are these??

Pico means small and these look like little small resistors, but don't have stripes like resistors, just part numbers. They should measure as a dead short and be in the immediate vicinity of the STK's
