The exhaust motor starts first andthen closes a small air switch (pressure switch)...if blocked pipe or tube to switch unit will not fire. You can also look at the light on the circuit board for blinks...this will tell you what is wrong. Read bottom blower door for fault codes

Goodman GMP100-3 igniter will not ignite

Hello, verify if the igniter is receiving a 120 volts from the control board after the pressure switch closes. Sometimes a faulty control board can cause this problem if the igniter and pressure switch are good.

My gas blows out but igniter doesnt glow orange.

COMMON PROBLEM THE UNIT MAY HAVE A BAD HOT SURFACE IGNITOR .... these often go bad... if you have avolt meter unplug the ignitor and turn heater on see if you are getting 120 volts to ignitor plug...if so then the ignitor is bad and needs replaced....

Goodman gmnt060 3b doesn't light

check for 24vac between wires on gas valve about 5-10 seconds after ignitor starts to glow. If ignitor does not glow, check for 120 vac to ignitor after inducer goes on.
First...sequence of operation..power to W, inducer motor gets 120v and starts, 10-15 seconds later, ignitor gets 120v and glows, 5-10 seconds, gas valve gets 24v and opens, after 3-4 seconds the flame sensor approves flame and unit stays on. If this is not happening, it has to be in this sequence. Which ever is not happening and you do have voltage to that component, that component is bad. If you are getting a error code on board after it tries to light, pay attention to the code. if a 1 lock out code, that just means it tried 3 times and did not recognize a flame.

No power to ac indoor fan motor

sounds like you might have a bad control board. try putting a jumper wire on the control board low voltage terminals R and G your fan should come on and run if you have 120v power to fan motor. double check that you do have 120 leaving board and going to motor. if no 120 bad board if you do have 120 bad motor. if it is the board it likely has a bad blower relay which is common in amana models and goodman equipment.

yes in the air handler the blower will have possibly 4 wires the ones you are needing are red blue and black1 will go to a relay or possibly a circuit board and the other 2 will capped off, black is high speed, blue is medium, red is low, most come from factory on med.

Goodman U-30 Furnace

observe the sequence of operation. stat calls for heat and sends a signal, to furnace. check for 24 volts to common and white wire at furnace.first the forced draft motor starts and should have 120 volts to the plug it attaches to. after forced draft motor starts the pressure or vacuum switch closes should show no 24 volt when checked across terminals. shortly after the ignitor glows and shortly after click the main gas valve opens and main burners fire. shortly after the indoor fan comes on and hot air blows into the ductwork. follow the chain of events to see what doesnt happen and it is a clue to whats broke. maybe start by switching fan switch on stat to on. if fan comes on you have high and low voltage thereby eliminating the stat power and transformer as a problem. if you can see the ignitor look for it to be cracked . look close dont touch any part of it .it is powered by 120 volts when energized from board. dont forget when you take the door off there is no power to the furnace so be prepared to tape the safety switch closed when you are diagnosing.

No heat, trouble shooting light has continious flash.

There is a vacuum sensor on most units tied from the exhaust gas fan to the sensor. Does the unit try to start? If the unit's exhaust fails to pull the switch it will turn off after about 30-45 sec after starting. "IT" thinks it's not exhausting and stops to keep from overheating. Do you have this exhaust fan and rubber hose to sensor? Can you see if that fan is turning on start?
