Question about GE Refrigerators

1 Answer

GE Model PSF26NGPVWW There is barely a trickle of water when we try to fill a glass from the door dispenser. We have checked the following: 1. Changed the filter 2. Confirmed that there is a strong flow into the refrigerator 3. Checked the connection below the freezer door

I have checked the flow into the refrigerartor, it is strong
I have changed the filter, its still barely a trickle

If its the solenoid, what is the fix?

Either the water filter is plugged, the solenoid valve that opens to let water flow isn't opening fully or the water supply line from the house to the refrige and the line up to the water outlet is limed up from the reservoir tank in the lower unit

you need to check the voltage to the solenoids and see if they open up when you want to draw water from the unit,if its been there a long time then maybe replace the lines, open these and see how the water flow pressure is up to the units water filter and replace lines/filter accordingally up to the dispenser

still first check the water flow out of the filter canister, then go for the plugged line

Hello. My G.E. Monogram water dispenser trickles water after we get water from it. We have to keep a cup there to catch the excess water. How do I fix it so it stops as soon as we get water out of t

Try replacing the Water Valve. It is located in the back of the refrigerater, left side. You should see three tubes connected to it. This part fixes the following symptoms - Leaking water, Water dispenser will not dispense water, Ice maker will not make ice and Ice maker won't dispense ice. GE part#WR57X10032. The Water Valve is extreemly easy to replace. Only takes about 15 mins total time to remove, install and confirm. I just replaced mines..my problem went from leaking water to no water was dispensing at all. I have the GE Profile, it uses the same water valve as your GE Monogram. There is a You Tub video that also shows how to replace. Good Luck!

Inside water dispenser pumps water out really slowly on GE Profile PFS22MISBBB

It is possible that your water filters are getting plugged. Have you changed any filters lately?
The meat pan lever may also be turned to the coldest position and on units that have a low water usage, this will also cause the tank to freeze. You will want to lower the meat drawer setting or use more water from the door. This does not apply to Top Mount water dispenser models, because they do not have a reservoir. Problem requiring service, glass fill time.

  • Dispenser drips water constantly will be a water valve problem, and should be checked by a service technician. If you would like to schedule a service appointment, please contact GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737 or schedule a service appointment on-line.

  • Dribble as defined as a small amount of water (few drops) that may miss the glass ONLY AFTER USAGE. This is due to a delay in the overall system.

Dribble can be minimized by the following actions:

    - Purge the tank, by holding down the dispenser for 2 to 3 minutes, to remove any trapped air that may be building pressure and causing the dribble.
    - A few drops is normal, but you can also prevent water from missing the glass and dripping down the cradle area by moving glass slower when removing it from the cradle.
    - You may need to periodically empty the recess grill and clean out underneath it to prevent overfilling and water dripping down the front of the refrigerator.

  • Also, remember the dispenser in the door will not operate unless the door is closed

    No water from dispenser

I had the problem with the water dispenser not working.i tried all kind things finally I figured out the water was freezing ing the door. I cut a piece of 1/2 styro foam out that covers right below where the ice is dispensed just a square and use double sided tape to stick it to the back side of the door and haven't had anymore problems.

    One dispense spigot barely trickles

You need to take a paper clip and clean the little holes where the water comes out on the left side (It's like a screen). Also you should pull the silver thing that adjusts to allow taller cups underneath up and down several times. You should do the latter every week. It helps get rid of some of the coffee grounds that block the aforementioned little holes.

check no ice build up in bottle but the most likely cause is poor water pressure on the inlet. no cure except to improve water pressure. if there is a valve in the input water line, check it is fully open
