1. Check the roller inside the cartridge
2. Check the fuser - It may have to be replaced.

Have you tried to clean the inside of the printer as well as the rollers?

I HAVE A PAPER JAM. ALL THAT IS LEFT IS A SMALL PIECE OF PAPER. PLEASE TELLO ME WHAT I DO NOW.

It's almost definitely a bad exit sensor (known design flaw by Samsung). Go to YouTube and watch this video: 5fJHykzkfww

You can get the part on eBay for about $10 and it's a fairly simple 15 minute fix.

During printing the printer prints a colored band down the length of the paper, the band moves across the paper...each sheet the band is in a different location

I had a similar problem where it would print the a few color lines on the edge of the paper going the full length of the longest side. Turned out to be the transfer belt.

You can first try to uninstall your drivers and reinstalling them from the cd or download them from the samsung website.

My Samsung clp 510 printer won't print in color. How can I fix it??? I just installed a new black ink toner cartridge and now it's not letting me print in color. About a month ago I replaced the color...

I had a similar issue with my 510. My printer would only print in b&w regardless of my settings in the printer setup. I uninstalled my printer driver and reinstalled a fresh one from disk. This cleared up my issue.

I am out of ink on 3 colors, can i print with just black, the printer will not print

Probably not.

Replace the cartridges with Samsung factory new cartridges.

Do not waste your time and money with refilled cartridges or third party cartridges.

Why does the Samsung clp-510 color laser printer keeps defaulting to black and white print out when printing color images?

Well one thing you should do is when your printing something out before you print make sue that you have selected color not black and white because most printers have a default setting to use black and white. Also make sure that you have color ink available to print.

Dirty printing

The cause of this is a faulty toner cartridge. What happened was some toner spilled out of the cartridge and down into your printer. Take the toner cartridge out and with a damp paper towel just goto town and wipe everything down.

Replace the toner cartridge, and in about 20 pages it should clear up.

Ink issues Samsung CLP-510

Some paper tints can cause problems with color images, so make sure that you're using plain white paper, not another color such as beige, yellow, or blue. Even an off-white shade can affect your colors.

In addition, paper type can slightly influence your ink color. Highly absorbent papers can draw in the ink so quickly that the printed image may seem dull or a little washed out. If this is the case, try a coated paper that is specifically intended for color printing. If you're printing those important family vacation photos, use a good-quality glossy paper.

If your colors are way off, you may be running out of one or more ink colors. For example, blue and yellow are mixed to make green, so if your grass seems blue rather than green, you may be running out of yellow. Check your ink cartridges and replace any that are low or exhausted.

Thank you, & post back if you still need assistance.

Samsung CLP-510 Print Quality problem

The following can cause bands (vertical on a normal page)

Faulty Toner cartridge

Faulty Transfer Belt

Damaged or dirty LSU glass

I've also seen this sort of thing caused by a crusty build-up of toner on a wiiper blade on the Transfer Belt, and or Drum.
