Picture shows snow and fuzz on channels JVC AV-32980
M JVC TV is showing snowy pictures from channel 2 to 6 and is static from channel 7 to 28, but once I get up to the higher channels from 58 and up the picture is clear and perfect. What is the problem with the TV?

Sounds like U have an antenna or feeder problem. Get it checked out/ check it out. If in a strong signal area, try a simple indoor antenna for comparison. If in a marginal reception area, it could be your antenna is inadequate.

Hi. By static, do you mean 'snow' image ? DVD players must be connected to AV inputs and selected as an AV signal, either by using the remote control, either using the local controls in the set itself. If you see, what you call static, means that your TV is on "a" channel without areal input. (antenna inputsignal).
You can use the local TV channel button (-), go all the way down below channel 1. There the AV inputs are located. Good luck.
My personal guess would be that there is no signal coming through to your tv or the wrong signal coming through. I have the opposite problem...we get picture (snowy) but no sound except that of snow and the Audio/Sound options are NOT helpful.
Wish I could be of better help.
your closed caption is on, this might be set on the cable box or the tv, look in the audio or set menu. If you dont have the remotr you should be able to navigate the menu on the tv with the onset controls
In order for the TV to work with the cable box by using a piece of coax and tuning the TV to channel 3, you must make sure the TV is in "Cable" mode on the tuner and not "AIR or Antenna" the frequency maps are different between these types of service and channel 3 cable will not be the same as channel 3 on Air or UHF/VHF.
Often there is an auto program feature on TV's that will "scan" for all available channels, and this should select the proper input type.
have JVC AV-32F702 TV. It's picture color is very red. unable to adjust colors through menu. Channel numbers are also in red now instead of normal green. any suggestion?
please check red color cathode circuit
1 check red output from ic to red cathode ckt
2 check voltage on r output ckt& ic or tr.
3 check loose contact in red cathode ckt
4 check crt base for loose.
5 loose connector
6 chroma ic
The problem you're describing sounds like a tuner problem. BUT you say that you have the
same problem with A-V input too. That's weird!!!
Possibly the electronic TV-AV switching circuit is messed up and stuck in the TV (tuner) position. If this is the case you DO have a tuner problem and a switching problem too.
