I have a black and decker GK1630T chainsaw and i cant release the safety catch to get it working, can you help?

Pull they black hand guard back towards you and it tkaes the sftery mech off try that

I have replaced the chain on my b/d chainsaw gk1630t and now the chain will not rotate.I have followed the instructions carefully and the sprocket is turning but when I put the cover back on the chain...

You have either over tightened your chain or you have not placed the bar onto it's proper position against the motor. Take apart again and check one more time . One other thing ,if when you remove the cover, look down the bar as if you were looking down a 2x4. If it's not in line with the gear that rotates the chain, then you have installed the bar incorrectly.GOOD LUCK.

OIL CAP REQUIRED FOR BLACK & DECKER GK1630T OVAL SHAPE? or, is the repair kit needed to sort out a problem with this type of chainsaw?

Release for a Black&Decker ODC400 space saver

There's no release. Rock the bottom of the unit forward then pull towards you and it should come free. The catch is actually at the top of the unit where it meets the slides on either side.
