The problem is mainly your microphone or the other person's head phone...If he/she is able to hear other people but not able to hear you then it is a problem with your microphone.check the microphone,if you pass the test which is inbuilt in skype and still the other is not able to hear you try reinstalling the software.that ought to do the job.....
it might be that there are so many users on skype also depending on your countries internet
may be having difficulties with network overload as many more computers are using networks
One thing you can do make a video call to another user. This will test your bandwidth capacity of sending video and receiving at the same time. You can tell your partner to do the same test with another user. I guess that your partner internet connection is slow. That is low bandwidth... Check this Also I would recommend to update with latest version of skype. http://www.skype.com/download/skype/windows/?c=101
Try this and let me know the feedback Regards Uttam
please check your camera configuration, is it working fine?, also go to skype--tools--options---video settings and check if skype can access your camera, if not try to reinstall it
I HAVE OFTEN COME ACCROSS THAT PROBLEM. i FOUND BY INSTALLING A BETTER CAMERA DRIVER ACTUALLY FIXES THE PROBLEM. Go download MANYCAM.EXE from http://www.manycam.com
I have a mac too and am able to skype my mac and PC friends . . . ideally you can go to iChat where you can video-conference more than 2 people (skype, as you may be aware, is limited to 2, for now); but getting back to your 'not seeing each other' problem, when your skype window opens you should see your picture in that window, if you don't, there is something wrong with your camera - make sure the green light at the top of your monitor is on, go to the help or 'settings' menu, and turn it on, I can't recall how I activated mine (when it wasn't on), but the green light must be on; and on the other end, their camera must be similarly on, and often it is as simple as clicking on the blue video / camera icon at the bottom left of the skype window . . . I know often times I am skyping with novice users who have inadvertently 'hit a button' and have disabled their video . . . hope this helps.
1.Check whether your cam has built in mic. 2.if then connect the mic signal cable to the MIC in connector in your sound card. 3.if your webcam doesnt support MIC functions. Connect the head phone with mic to mic/audio slot 4.if you have already connected Mic. then the problem with the sound card settings in the instant messenger menu. 5. Specify proper sound card manufacturer in the audi settings found in the preferences or options or settings menu in IM software. thank you !
