Your hp monitor has an electronic component problem inside, probably some busted capacitors or ccfl lamps that failed to light...best is to bring the unit to a qualified LCD repair center near you..

may be this is you are mentioning there is no display in your monitor or u have already getting the boot display. if u getting the boot display it must be the problem of your monitor inverter board in side ur lcd. otherwise it must have your computer memory not working properly so u must clean and re install your memory first.thank you.

My LCD not working at all

rocaafella 7, I want you to visit a very old blog on the net to see if you think problem is same as your monitor. http://www.lesliewong.us/blog/2005/05/02/hp-pavilion-f1703-flat-panel-display-blackout-solution/ Try connecting 1907 to a "known good" pc with win-desktop being displayed. Is monitor screen still black or blank n black? Reply back with more info. 12fixlouie

Volume screen keeps popping up every few seconds, when I touch "menu" button it goes away, only to come back a few seconds later

michaelfoder, Because very strange things start to appear on the screens of cold cathode fluorescent lamp, back-lit, LCD monitors, I always investigate the "switch-mode-power-supply/ccfl inverter supply for very common occuring defects in the supply!!! You can find out about them here: http://www.lesliewong.us/blog/2005/05/02/hp-pavilion-f1703-flat-panel-display-blackout-solution/ Just remember to do a fixya rating and testimonial if this response helps you to find and correct problem in your 2-3year old unit. Problem could be an unstable +5v or +3.3v dc supply rail. 12fixlouie

Monitor will come on, monitor status box will come on and then screen goes blank. How can I fix this?

rwhite97, If your pc is working fine with substitute monitor, and w1907 lcd unit does same (black screen, or blanknblack screen) when connected to a "known good" pc, then you should visit and read some stuff at this 2005 blog. http://www.lesliewong.us/blog/2005/05/02/hp-pavilion-f1703-flat-panel-display-blackout-solution/ Then learn the flashlight test and what it means. Then go to YOUTUBE for video clips on lcd monitor disassembly and lcd monitor repair if you are into do-it-yourself repair. Remember this!!! Your w1907 unit uses the same basic design and operation principles that ALL brands of ccfl back-lit lcd monitors use. Good luck with the repair. Come back here and leave comment after doing your research/investigation and then rate this response. 12fixlouie

Monitor Hp w1907 has no input signal, how do I get connected and keep it from going to sleep

If you set the PC to go to sleep after certian amount of time than it will not put out signal to the monitor. You need to go to display properties (right click on the desk top)/screen saver -power/set the display to never turn off.

Blank HP w1907

If the power light does not turn color and stay's green on startup, it is not a power problem. It is most likely the inverter. If the unit is in warranty, send it out ASAP. Contact HP customer care by email and have the issue logged in.
If in warranty, they will send you a box by FedX second day and have repaired.
This is a 19" monitor and will not be worth paying for repairs if not in warranty.

HP w1907 both DVI and VGA inputs are active

hi mate, its seems by what your saying that you have both dvi and vga cables connected to the monitor from the computer, the easiest solution is to remove the unwanted input cable from the pc and monitor ( i would remove the VGA) then restart the computer you really should only run a single cable either vga or dvi not both at once the monitor just comes with both cables encase your pc doesn't have one of the connector types, there not there to both be connected at once :)

if you have a reasonto want to keep both cables connected then you need to right click your desktop , click display settings, you should see two monitors there labeled 1 and 2

click on the phantom display ( probably number 2) then click the drop down box titled "Multiple Displays" and change the option to "disconnect this display" , then apply the changes and then your problem is solved

if you are useing a older windows like 7 or 8 the proceedure is the same but the name of the drop down box may be diffrent but it still has the same option to disable the display

below is the windows screen ( i have 3 displays so ignore number 3)
