The screen says the time till finished . but washer does'nt start washing . just a noise from inside door

You did all you could do it sounds like somebody had something in a pocket an it fell out got between the drum of the washer an housing an is gonna make noise for a long time till you replace the washer sorry it happens all the time

I see that you are still having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, finishing and now starting a load, even after replacing the door lock.

I would start by making sure that your washer door is completely closed.

Next I would check to make sure that your washer controls are not locked. You will see a "LOC" code if the controls are locked. To get them out of the lock mode, press and hold the "Options" and "Select" buttons at the same time for 10 seconds.

If you are still having trouble you will want to give your washer a hard reset. You can do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes.

Once power is restored, if you are still having trouble with your appliance either not starting or not completing the cycle, I would recommend contacting either the manufacturer or your local authorized technician. Hope this helps.

there is a lint screen inside the water pump hose(the one that goes from the outer tub to the pump). if you have a port or access door to get to it remove it, if not you may have to remove the front panel to get to it. you could have debris blocking the drain and causing the computer to delay the spin process.

your main belt is broken or loose i would suspect the latter,the reason the door will not open is the machine has started a wash cycle and because the belt is not able to finish the cycle the door wont open so the progam is not finished,switch the machine of at the mains and the door will open after 10 mins.But the problem remains the belt.please rate this answer thanks.adrian,,,,,,,,,

this is due to the build up of scum in the washer pipes the best thing to clean it out with is bleach ,,,do a cold/hot water wash with nothing in the washer only a strong mix of bleach, when the wash has finished do another cold/hot wash again this time with only water in the washer to flush out any bleach left in the washer then leave the door open a little when you have finished your washing from then on,this should kill of any more nasty smells

hi from the uk susan ? this is not uncommon and easily fixed if you are confident DIY ? and req's a little patience with a posi drive screwdriver if you want to save $$$$s on call out fee ? the problem is most probably the time delay switch which prevents door opening too soon after cycle/machine has finished and the light has gone off then door can be opened if you feel confident ? will help/instructions on how to rectify fault if you reply back ?

on the lower rhs is a clean out door, use ascrew driver to spin the door loose and clean out the pump behind the door.

sounds to me like something in the pump!!!!

Something large in the drain pump could be the problem. You might need to remove it and take a look inside.
