Question about HP w1907 LCD Monitor

1 Answer

My HP W1907 monitor needs a driver update. Told access is denied

I bought a Compaq computer & HP w1907 LCD monitor back in 2008. Ever since I can remember, there was always a failed update during autmoatic updates & it was always for the monitor. I guess I should have addressed this when it was happening. Now the monitor does not work. It will come on for a couple of seconds & go black. I tried going to the HP site & downloadng the driver but a message comes up that access is denied. I called HP & they said the monitor is bad. Can anyone help me?

My monitor will not allow me to even get a menu screen with the computer off. How can I get it reset back to factory settings without accessing the monitors menu? Should I just get a new monitor?

What is wrong with your hp w1907 lcd monitor? It won't allow you to get to the menu screen with the computer off?

The computer must control the monitor and should have a graphics card that supports the different resolutions of the monitor which will be connected to the computer via DVI or VGA.

I think your monitor is fine, unless you cannot get it to work with your computer.

Good luck on getting your monitor to work on your computer.

My HP 1907 lcd monitor did not take an update. I was told that I would have to re-install it. How do I do this?

There is no update for this monitor. You just have to mkae sure you have the correct video card driver install in your computer. Just use this monitor with another computer to find out if it is monitor or computer problem.

My hp w1907 monitor is constantly auto adjusting every 1 or 2 seconds. Make it stop.

Good morning! Auto adjustment occurs when resolution or refresh rate of the display changes. Check your display setings in OS. Set them properly according to product operations manual. Update your display adapters driver. Also check your VGA card or motherboard display port & try using a different cable. try pluging the monitor to a different computer or plug in a different monitor with your motherboard or VGA cards display port. best regards

HP W1907 Monitor goes black after resolution change

This is normal, but it should only take less than a minute for your computer to readjust, make sure all your graphic card drivers are updated, for that may be a factor.

Contact me if you need more detailed explaining.

If it was working fine why install additional software? Try booting into safe mode and uninstalling the software or drivers.
