Fix this problem by:

-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk

do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Hi ,

There is a startup program that has gone corrupt and is making the computer freeze to correct this problem here are the steps that you can follow.
Turn the computer off and then as soon as you turn it on start tapping the f8 key until you get a black screen that says advance boot menu ,select plain safe mode and then hit the enter key. Then when you get the log on screen select administrator ,it should take you to the desktop and please check if the screen freezes or not if it doesn't then go to start?run ?type msconfig?enter?select startup tab ?click on disable all ?apply?then go to services tab?click disable all ?apply ?ok or close to exit from the page and then it will prompt you to restart the computer .When it boots up to the normal mode check if the computer freezes or not if not then we will have to find the program that is making the computer freeze. To do that first enable all the strartup items restart the computer and check if it freezes if it doesn't then there has to be a program under services that is causing the problem so need to go to the system configuration utility page and then you need to go to services tab and then check one no more program's restart and then check if it freezes or not .So this way you will have to isolate and find the find the program that causes the computer to freeze and once u have found it check all other program's except the one that causes the computer to freeze.
It can also be that an external device is causing the computer to freeze so if you have any external device connected like a usb .printer etc and also check if there is any disk in the drive. So disconect all th external devices and check if the computer does not freeze then connect one device at a time and check which external deivice makes the computer freeze.

Hope this post helps you ......All the best

seems like an issue of junk files and infection in the computer.
remove the unwanted programs
clean the startup from msconfig (expert advised)
clean the junk, prefetch, temp, etc
clean the registry
update the version.

reboot and see if it works.
if this does not help, then call 1-877-805-1027 for expert help

Hi, I need help, my pc freezes and I cant move the mouse or do anything else, I have to restart it. Please Help me.

Start/Run... Run msconfig. On General tab, select Diagnostic Startup. Reboot. Use the computer in this state for as long as the freeze usually appears.
If no freeze, return to msconfig General tab. Selective startup, uncheck Startup.
Repeat reboot and trial usage. If no freeze, check normal startup. On startup tab uncheck everything that looks non-essential. Reboot and retest. When the computer seems "fixed" recheck one startup item at a time. Repeat your timed test until the issue reappears. When it does, the latest startup item you enabled is the cause.

Averatec 3200 PC Notebook freezes at startup but

I suspect one of your startup items to be causing this problem. I suggest you to disable the startup items in safe mode and then try booting in normal mode.

Since you have already tried in safe mode i believe you know how to get in there so lets start from second part on how to disable the start up items.

Step1: Click on start and then click on Run.
Step 2: Type msconfig and hit ENTER.
Step 3: Click on Startup tab.
Step 4: Click on Disable all then click on apply and then Click on OK.
Step 5: Your system will be prompted for a reboot. Go ahead and restart it.
Step 6: As soon as the system is backup you would get system configuration utility screen where in you should check "Don't show this message again".

If you are curious to know which start up item is causing this problem then you might want to try enabling few at a time and narrow down.

Startup is normal, then while working for about 5 minutes, it freezes. reboot and it does the same thing again.

here is something that might do the trick, Compaq use a quirky set of motherboards, and they akk seem to have this problem sooner or later
1) unplug everything from the computer except for the keyboard, mouse, and screen
2) unplug the power cord
3) wait 30 seconds, then hold in the power button for another 15 seconds
4) plug computer back in and reboot system
if it works then you're good to go.
if not, then there is a resource conflict which is sendinga fault code to the OS, causing a reboot
if you recently installed any hardware, ur USB adapters, that could be the cause
also, sometimes does this if print and file sharing is turned on

After the windows logo on start up it freezes

Try to start up in Safe mode - usually by pressing F8 continuously during start up.

If that works - run any antivirus, malware and registry cleaning programs you have. If you don't have any - you can reboot in safe mode with networking and download some - irecommend malwarebytes amongst others.

If still a problem - it is possible a driver/service error - gor to MSCONFIG /STARTUP - disable all the start up programs. Try to reboot - if ok - enable startup programs one at a time to isolate the bad one. Uninstall that program. Once everything is working ok - you could try reinstalling again. Check for updates.

Hope this helps

Every time i boot up my acer aspire 5315 laptop I always get a black screen and the computer freezes?

Please try to reboot in Safe mode after Tapping F8 Key during start.

If the option for run in safe mode not appear you need to do it again.

After then, when you login at desktop, do the following:

  1. Click on Start
  2. Open the Run window,
  3. Type msconfig, then click 'OK'.
  4. Go to the Services tab, find the 'Background Intelligent Transfer' service.
  5. Disable it, apply the changes & reboot.
Also at startup tab in msconfig, and in the Startup Tab
Disable the items which you think not necessary to come during startup.
THis will help you lot to reduce the time being taken in Startup.

Hope it will work for you.
