Question about HP Scanjet G4010 Flatbed Scanner
Hi I have 2 computers one laptop Sony Vaio and a regular desktop both with windows 7 running for a while now. The drivers from hp that i downloaded worked fine on the laptop but on the desktop they are not. The installation went through just fine no problems. When i try to scan something the hp software starts and it shows me a preview of the scan and then I select the portion that I would like to scan from the full page and when I click scan the whole window disappears and that's it. No scan gets put in any directory and a lot of time I have it so the destination directory is my desktop... And nothing. On my laptop this works fine.. The window just like before goes away but at least it puts the scanned document in the destination directory.. Any ideas? I have reistalled it a few times and reinstalled it.

If the windows7 operating system is 32 bit on one computer and, 64 bit on the other the drivers will not work on both computers. check this and, if this is right; download the correct drivers for each machine and, install them.
