Yesterda i ve repaired a laptop with the sam problem. i hav done all reinstallation of windows and drivers.
but this is very funny when i found that the inbuilt key of laptop volume control was pressed automatically so when i try to decrease volume it increases automatically.
so please check for your touchpad drivers and check that any key is not jammed in laptop/desk top.

This model do have a Remote Control right? Try to check that out... the remote could be the one setting the Volume up suddenly.

Whenever i put some CD/DVD, it doesn't read at all and I receive this message "Please insert a CD in CD Rom" and there is yellow icon on the device as its drivers are not installed but when i...

Go into Device Manager and remove the optical drive from the list. Restart the computer. It should detect "New Hardware", identify it and install the correct driver.

What's going on: apparently there was a glitch or bug in the Windows 7 upgrade. The DVD drive is misidentified in the Registry as a CD-ROM drive, but it kept the old driver. Of course, Windows 7 thinks a DVD driver is incorrect, so it puts a yellow warning flag on it in Device Manager. It also refuses to acknowledge any disc in there except a CD (stupid computer!). So we need to get the incorrect info out of the registry before Windows will run the optical drive properly.

If Windows 7 gets stubborn about it, turn off the computer, look for the optical drive retaining screw, and take it out and physically remove the optical drive. Now, you should be able to remove the optical drive from the Registry. Restart the computer, double check that the optical drive is gone from Device Manager, then shut it down again. Put the optical drive back in the computer and turn it on. This time it should get everything right.

Toshiba Satellite : X205-S9810 won't boot after i installed new hard drives/ used recovery discs. System just keeps running the green bars across the bottom.... installed two 250 gb in place of the 160's...

If you put the old hard drive back in your system and it works fine, log onto Toshiba's web site and download the updated drivers, firmware and BIOS. It is really easy to do.
Try this linkI hope it helps.

I have a toshiba satellite X205-S9810 and i was wondering how to change the screen on it

if you mean to replace a screen i advise you have a specialist do it as many things could go wrong and by doing it yourself you have no protection from error, if a techie does it its his A$$ that replaces it if he messes up

The only way that you can check whether it's a bad sound card or simply a bad set of speakers would be to connect an external speaker on your computer. If the sounds work properly with external speakers then it's just an issue with the internal speakers on your computer. You can then have it fixed.
