GE dbxr463 dryer-can i turn the finish signal off or change it to chimes or tones

Usually you cannot change tones. Sometimes you can turn it down, but that usually would have the volume control right there on the panel. The only other thing that I can suggest is unplugging your dryer and open up the panel and find your buzzer and unplug the wires going to the buzzer. Wrap electrical tape around each of them separately so that you do not cause any shorts when you put everything back together and plug it back in. Hope this helps!

My ge dryer model DRS483ED1WW won't turn on all it does is buzz when I try. I have changed starter switch that didn't work

does the drum and motor turn by hand freely. but i think its possibly the bushes in the motor. just have a look at motor and see if theres black carbon dust on it, you will get this on a motor anyway but not in excess

Is there any way to turn off the buzzer when the drying time is over...or at least turn it down?

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, there is a buzzer module located inside the control panel. It is a fixed module, which means it cannot be adjusted. So, if you wish to get rid of the noise, you will have to unplug it. All you should have to do is UNPLUG the dryer and remove the back of the control panel. Disconnect any leads from the buzzer module and wrap them each in electrical tape to keep them insulated.

If you go to you can view what I am talking about. The buzzer is listed as item 12 under the "Backsplash, Blower and Motor Assembly" heading. When typing in your model number use "DBXR463ED0WW. The digit before the that two letters is a "zero", not the letter "O".

If you have questions, or if you have not provided the correct model number, pease post back with the correct information so that I maybe able to assist you better. I hope this helps you.

Disabling the signal end of cycle on ge dryer

The buzzer is inside the control switch area. Its about the size of 4 stacked 50 cent coins. Kill the power to the drier and then open the control panel and locate the buzzer. Remove the two wires; using electrical tape, you can tape up each wire end and then secure it out of the way. :?) DRRXR
