Question about Tanaka 30" Double Sided 24cc Hedge Trimmer

Open Question

Cutter bar jamming

After 15-20 minutes use the cutter bar will jam. Removing the drive shaft cover plate shows plenty of grease and nothing obviously out of place or bent. Starting up again , the trimmer will run approx. 3 - 5 mins and jam again.
Remove cover plate and replace, and start again will run for approx. 1-2 mins& jam again.
Let machine rest overnight, process can be duplicated next day with similar results. cutter bar appears straight and no damage to teeth evident.
I'm unsure what to try next.

My Husqvarna 350 bogs down and is not turning the chain.

something is pinching the chain when you have the side cover on. either the bar isn't sitting flush to the saw or you don't have the chain in the sprocket correctly and that is causing it to bind

The paper cutter on the Designjet 130nr jams all the time. Help? Where are the screws for the cutter?

from memory this cutter is removed by removing the side cover and sliding it off the end of the carriage rail.

Paper jam. we keep getting a paper jam error. but there is no paper jamed in it all. it only does it in tray 2 some of the time(about once a week) the only way i can get it too work is by unpluging the...

Pass thru sensor and flag assembly:
The tray 2 option system board did not detect a piece of paper
actuating the pass thru sensor. Remove any jammed sheets of paper
from the printer and check the pass thru sensor and flag for proper
operation by running the appropriate Tray Sensor Test from the
diagnostics menu. If the test fails, check the sensor for correct
installation and the flag for proper operation. Also check the sensor
cable to make sure it is correctly connected to the option system
board. If incorrect, replace the tray 2 option pass thru sensor
assembly.

Check these parts for signs of broken or damaged parts,
contamination on the drive rollers or wear plate and wear or damage
to the drive shaft bearings. Check the drive roll assembly and skewed
backup roller for wear, slick spots, material buildup, and oil or grease
on the rollers. Also check for proper operation of the paper aligning
assembly. Repair or replace parts as necessary.

My tiller was working fine. Then it acted like something had jammed the blades. I removed the blades and nothing is wedged. The engine runs but bogs down because the shaft is not spinning. It acts like...

Sorry Bob, it needs shop time. The part under the motor and between the two blade sets is the transmission. The input shaft from the motor is geared to turn the blade shaft; either may be frozen if there wasn't enough grease in the trans or it's possible a gear tooth broke and jammed the system. You have to remove the trans, take off the blades and get inside it to see if the grease is contaminated or if it even has any in it. Check for peices that may have jammed in the gears also. If all of the parts are intact, clean out all of the old grease and pack as much new grease in as you can get in it.

Locked in blade

My old Cuisinart has this problem because the motor shaft and the corresponding socket on the cutter are worn. The shaft has jammed in the cutter. To un-jam it, stick a bar of wood behind one blade of the cutter (I use the wood handle of my dough whisk) and give it a light, sharp tap with a hammer. Check after every tap to see if it is loose, if not do it again. You want to tap against the back side of the cutter, not the cutting edge side. The socket on your cutter may be cracked, allowing it to open up and slip (and jam) under the stress of cutting. You'll probably need a new one. If the motor shaft is also worn, that can also be replaced. The new part is about $10. I got a few more months of life from my cutter by reinforcing the inner socket with a thin plastic tube from the barrel of a syringe.

if you have reverse, run reverse.
if you don't have reverse, you will have to disassemble the drive shaft/cutters and clear manually

Need to know the torque settings on the fly wheel and on the clutch &preasure plate on daewoo lanos 1998 manual 1.5 ltr thanks.

put some locktight on the flywheel bolts and make sure they are tight by using a impact gun or jam a screwdriver into ringear and a bellhousing bolt as fulcrum and then pull bolts up with a big snap on knuckle bar and go round twice 1/2 inch drive---clutch use a 3/8 socket set and dont over tighten go round at least 3 times and dont forget to put copper grease on the spigot shaft splines .And remember to top the gearbox oil up with EP90 ,and lightly grease the new rear end oil seal you have obviously changed .

My zebra 4M+ get me a cutter jammed status

Sometimes debris builds up in the bottom of the cutter assembly preventing the cutter from going all the down. There is a switch inside the cutter which trips the "jammed" error if the cutter can't go all the way down. The cutter can be removed and disassembled to remove the problem. Caution should be exercised. There are washers and springs on the cutter face plate guide screws which have to be removed.

Document jam

I had this totally annoying problem this morning. After looking for any obvious paper jams or small bits of loose paper, I tried several fixes: 1) open front cover, release levers that hold white rollbar in place, roll the bar forward to make sure nothing is stuck behind it, snap levers back in place; DID NOT fix the problem; 2) open top cover, remove print cartridge, look for jammed paper bits, close cover; DID NOT fix the problem; 3) unplug the machine, wait a few minutes, turn machine back on; DID NOT fix the problem. I even unplugged the machine, opened ALL the covers, turned the machine upside down and shake it to see if any paper clips, staples, or other objects have fallen inside the machine; DID NOT fix the problem. FINALLY, I pulled the paper feed tray forward, reached down to the feed rollers, twisted them a few turns, put paper back in the machine, and the "paper jam" message disappeared! This may not work for everyone, but it worked for me today, so I hope this helps someone out there to have a better day.
