I suggest you contact Dish Network directly. You may need to have a converter box replaced or a new converter box connected to your old TV (and pay for the installation.)
Hello You haven't given a clear problem post ebefore me. You have only give the model number and brand name of your TV only. Not give the model number of your RCA converter box. Yet i posts a solution to your problem, assuming that your RCA Converter box model number is " DTA 800B1 " The three digit setup codes for Orion TV with this RCA converter box are:
029, 189, 200 ok gopakumarg43
Yes,u need a converter box to get DTV free over the air signal. The converter box is not a cable tv box,it a free DTV free over air signal box,to help the old technolgy CRT tv tube anolg tv to get Digital tv signal. All CRT(Tube Tvs) must have a converter box to get free air Digital tv.Must have pay cable tv to get a signal,if don't have coverter box.If u have a crt tube tv or u get nothing, but statics.
Most DTV converter boxes have 2 outputs available; RF and component video. The RF goes in between the antenna and the TV and acts as a frontend tuner. The TV needs to be set to Channel 3 or 4 (depending on the box) and left there. All tuning is then by the converter box. By the way, you need to scan for channels as part of the setup. The other method is by using the audio/video component inputs to the TV and the set would then select AUX 1 or 2 etc to get the box input, and tune via the box.
Well, does it?
