Question about Lands Phones

Teledex phones: Models DiamondPlDiamond+s,Diamond+LS-10E they all have the us A, same problem. When connected to a line are dead untill you press the releas switch2-3 times ,then they start to oparate. When left for sometime with the handset on , the same problem happens when the handset is lifted. Surely they all dont have release switch problems. The problem must be elsewhere (transistor or capacitor etc. Thank you George Mavros

    These 100 telephones came from a hotel which they use their telephone system. At the moment I am testing them on my domestic line which has different cable from the hotel. Surely not all the hotel extensions have cable problems.

    When I connect the line cable to any of these telephones I wait there for ever for dialing tone which I dont get until I press the release button few times, then it will continue to work as long its left connected to the line. Once the telephone is dicconected from the line and left for hours the problem re-appears.

    I have 100 telephones exhibiting the problem. It cannot be cable problem as these units came from a hotel which uses a system .I am testing them on my domestic line. Strange thing is ,once working and left connected the problem never comes back. If they are disconnected and for a few hours the problem re-appears

Hi, from the detailed explanation you made above concerning the Teledex phone, you actually guess right by mentioning the transistor and capacitor. But the real problem is with the transistor, it is actually getting weak day by day and that is why you have to press the release switch thrice before the phone responses. All you need to do is change the transistor immediately and do a general servicing of the phone before it starts affecting other parts.

Hi George.

Transistors and capacitors do not do this kind of things. The problem is usually caused by a bad line signal, due to line problem or to phone cable problem.

Test the phones on a different line, and use a different phone cable.

If phones are programmed, the delay is caused by the phone looking for the right signal path. There are buttons that are used to program delay and flashing.If they had been programmed, that is the reason for the problem.
In this case reset and programming procedure depend on the phone model. Refer to models respective manuals.

Finally, some set may need firmware upgrade. To get the upgrade you need to contact Teledex. Contact and manuals on website below.

My uniden phone is not working. All hand sets say Check Tel Line. Will not make or receive calls. Will a dead battery in one handset make all handsets malfunction? Are batteries available?


batteries are available from e-bay
one dead battery will not affect any others
all hand sets make calls and receive calls through the base unit that is connected to the landline
base unit is connected to the landline and operates any hand set that is picked up
make sure all handsets have the end call button pressed as one not pressed after use may keep a line open
call your provider to check the land line to your premises

Oh its a 2000 lincoln ls,the car says a bad charging system,with new battery new alternator,nothing is working keeps going out ,lights radio then car..


Sometimes it is something simple. There is a plastic plug-in connection for the Alternator. What happens is the metal contacts ride up inside the plastic and fail to make a secure contact on the metal post inside the Alternator.

Some models have a fuse in the Alternator wires and some report chaffing that breaks the fuse.

If you start with a charged battery and it ends up dead, you still have a short which is not fused.

You need someone to do a comprehensive Electric test. Except for the "stay alive" circuits like clock, alarm system, and computer brain, everything should stay off when it is shut off.

This means that the 2 power types- plus and minus, are always separate until they are switched ON. When you test, you simply go to each fuse or circuit and see whether there is a connection.

Your biggest lines are called fusible links. If they are out, you will not have power to what they attach to. Relays can also cause your problems but are harder to check.

There is no universal answer to your problem. There are trends of problem parts, someone may also contribute this in another post.

1. Power the unit on while holding the Menu Up + Menu Down + Help buttons, and continue to hold them until "System Maintenance" is displayed.

2. Press the Menu Down button until "Diagnostic Mode" is highlighted, and then press the Enter button.

3. Press the Menu Up button until "SWITCH SCAN" is displayed, and press the Enter button.

4. Press the Menu Up button until "REG L/R_DENS_WEIGHT" is displayed, and press the Enter button.

5. 4 Hexadecimal numbers will be displayed. Only look at the 4th number. xxx, xxx, xxx, xxx (example: 09E, 27D, 000, 12C) 6. Adjust the 4th number as close to the desired 12C as possible (acceptable range being: 10E ~ 13E) by rotating the adjustment screw (See illustration below).

How to do mobile flashing for this model nokia3110c?


Firstly try to download this Nokia Phoenix Service Software 2010.08.004.41526 WinXP/XP-64/2003/Vista/Vista-64/Win7/Win7-64
Secondly
3110c files And install it in your PC..Disconnect all usb devices.
Now connect the phone with usb data cable without power on the phone to PC.Open Nokia pheonix...Click to "FILE" and select "open product" Choose 3110c rm237.Next Click to "Flashing" and then open "FPS-8C FLASH " after opening this just click to "Close" button and again click to "Flashing" select "FIRMWARE UPDATE" NOW you can select the firmware version as well as the product code at the top right whch is showing a small browse window.Remember if the product code of the particular is not there just select the highest one.
After loading ..Click to "Dead phone" and again press to "REFURBISH"
Wait until a message shows that "PRESS POWER BUTTON" Press it and wait until the phone automatically switch on.

How do i take off scientic mode just a regualer:


Press SHIFT [SETUP]. You can select FIX for fixed-decimal or NORM for normal display. For FIX the calculator will prompt for the number of digits. NORM gives you two choices: 1 will display numbers of magnitude less than 10E-2 in scientific notation, 2 won't switch to scientific notation until the magnitude drops below 10E-9.

I have dial up internet connection. As soon as I placed the connection in the new computer p6340a the phone line was dead. this should not happen until a connection is made. Ted Andrews


If your modem is fried, this can result in a dead line... disconnect the line from the computer and test the line with a phone... if the tone is present, then connect the line back to the pc... If the line goes dead, you have a faulty modem or corrupt drivers

I cant graph linear functions and models

I have no idea what you are thinking about when you say models, but to graph ANY function, you go to the home folder, and press the yellow [Diamond][Y=] and enter the functions at the = signs.

When finished entering functions, press the yellow [Diamond] key then [GRAPH]. Here is what you get. The straight line is a linear function (y=2X +3.

When I pick up the handset on my M7208, it goes to a dead line. How do I fix this default so it goes to a line with a dial tone


The dead line needs to be taken out of the line pool soyou can grab the right line.First you need to know the line number that you need to take out of the pool.
thats done by entering feature *0 and pressing the line button for the dead line. the screen should say
L025: line 005 (the L025 is the important part).
Write it down for later.
Next you need to get into system programming.

Programming2.gif is done on M7310, M7324 and T7316 type sets.
Enter programming2.gif by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming2.gif.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the next key(bottom right arrow).
the display should say LINES
press the show key (top right arrow)
the display should ask for a line number (001-004, 025-028 *thats lines 5-8) enter line that you want to take out of the pool group and press show (top right arrow)
the display should say trunk/line use
press the show key (top right arrow)
display should say line type:pool A
press the change key until it says public
press the heading button(top left arrow) til it says lines again
repeat procedure for next line/lines
press the release key when finished
it grabs the right line.

Dead htc diamond


I have had this happen to me a couple of times. Have you tried a soft reset? Pull the stylis out, next to the usb connection you will find the reset slot.
You could try pressing and holding the power button a couple of times.

Make sure you battery is charged or good
